Not knocking your setup, but most videos repairing an Iphone 7 etc. you always see the workshop with several thousands of pounds taking hours and frightening most people from ever looking at such a phone. I love watching 'a down to earth' vid showing warts and all, not just the bells and whistles if you know what I mean. Keep them coming.

You can remove the infrared filter lense in your camera. It won’t be exactly thermal imaging but what ever is hot will show up as a white colour. It is just a glass filter in between the front and rear lenses it will have a slight red tint to it when moved in the light. It protected the digital imaging from sunlight. So just don’t take any pictures of the sun and you will have a thermal camera.

Sorin, the flickering is not the camera, I had same problem, you have to re-arrange your USB devices, its a clash between USB hardware, I had to swap devices USB2 USB3 & even install USB3 card into spare PCIe slot, you can cure the flicker, in some cases it moved the flicker to another device, I even had to remove a slower USB device, try moving around USB's.

Thank you, the chip on ebay is described as : "1X SN61280D SN 61280D for iPhone 7 7plus camera power supply ic chip 16pins" .. so it is probably related to caera power management

Ar trebui sa va faceti un preheater mic atunci cand doriti sa scoateti sau sa lipiti componente mici. Chiar daca asta scade putin viteza de lucru, din caiza timpilor de racire / incalzire a placilor.

Sorin.. As you are finding my friend, the tweezers you are using for iPhone components below 0805 sizes are too large.. You may like to try the ones below. I use many of the Ideal-Tek, & Lindstorm brand tweezers and find them excellent. The ones listed below have extremely narrow tips.. The bottom angled ones are I believe the narrowest available with a tip size of 0.07mm. Being so narrow you do have to take care of them 👍 uk.farnell.com/lindstrom/tl-ss-sa-sl/tweezers-very-longfine/dp/1779183?st=SS%20SA%20Sl uk.farnell.com/ideal-tek/65a-sa/tweezer-high-precision/dp/3480690?ost=65A+SA&ddkey=https%3Aen-GB%2FElement14_United_Kingdom%2Fsearch Regards John
@SuperSamsung854 жыл бұрын
are these tweezers high quality?
@OrbiterElectronics4 жыл бұрын
@@SuperSamsung85 Yes... However remember they are very sharp 'precision' tweezers. So must be used as such. Grabbing components etc is fine, but use these tweezers under a heat gun and they won't be precision instruments for very long. If you want tweezers that are suitable for grabbing components under a heat gun etc.. just buy a few pairs of the sharp cheaper branded ones. OR you can get heavy duty tweezers from the same brands listed above which are still sharp but are made from heavier materials. Check their datasheets/specs out before buying 👍️

Hello electronics repair school ! This is abit of a "please bro" I know, but please hear me out, I'm trying to repair my little sisters iPhone 7, I found that there was a direct short on the main power line to ground, injected current, and found that a capacitor was getting really hot, I removed it and the short cleared, I now have 95 000 ohms between the main power rail and ground, I plugged the phone into the charger and USB amp meter and found it was drawing a very constant half an amp, I took the board back out and found that most of the capacitors next to the power management ic, ( there's 12 rows of 3 caps) were all shorted to ground, apart from one of the rows of 3 in the middle. I noticed that these rows of caps are running on 4 separate power lines, and they are shorted, one line is shorted to ground at 15 ohms, one at 21 ohms, one at 22ohms and one at 60 ohms, I noticed also all these caps and power lines were common on the power management ic, so I'm guessing they are different voltage outputs? And the fact that they are all shorted, would that point to it being the power management ic? I obviously want to avoid attempting to change it if there's any chance it isn't that that's the problem, although I have ordered a replacement power ic.. Please any help would be greatly appreciated, iv never worked on a phone before but iv got half a brain, I also have the board view software but I don't think it's one were you can see the lists of power rails it just tells you what the components are and where they go to. Thankyou so much if you have read this and for any help. Reace from UK
