Thank you SO MUCH Sorin, for all your training and educational videos. And you are 100% correct with your "dodgy" plans, I myself really appreciate that, I'm from South Africa and yes for us here to replace broken things becomes very expensive. I fix my own and other peoples computers, never really got into the board level until recently. I am still learning (self educated only) Even for me to own a MacBook or apple device is too expensive, however someone donated one to me and its got issues with power, still trying to figure out how to repair this, but I use your vides to guide me. So thanks a million. You are an Angel to people like us. Keep on showing us.😎😃

13:40 Sorin that chip can be emulated with ATTiny85 example. Apple ( magsafe ), Dell, Lenovo, HP uses all similar chip. Made universal charger from HP 230W charger where i change ID per what i charge. I seen many false guides on diy tutorials playing with resistors to bypass that and its good you mention it. Example one older HP laptop CPU usage was 100% constantly due it!

Fully deserved tribute. I'm proud that someone originating from my country is running a succesful KZbin channel with many useful, no-nonsense repair videos. I am absolutely not of the opinion that his repairs are dodgy, I'm sure Sorin would never repair a laptop in a way to make it likely to catch fire. Of course, sometimes you have to patch a video cable, work around a faulty fingerprint sensor or use hot glue to repair a broken hinge because some parts are very hard to find, too expensive or you would have to wait 6 weeks for them. As a result the customer would not find the repair justified and a usable laptop would end up in landfill. Sure if you repair a laptop for yourself you can search on Ebay 6 months until you find a replacement case but that's not how it works when you do the repair for a customer. Believe me when I say that in 15 years, everyone will repair electronics the Sorin's way or not at all.

Dear Sorin, I'm French myself, and I never miss any of your videos! What's nice about you is your wisdom and sharing, even not stopping on big repair challenges. I stopped following another KZbin channel, which I do not wish to name here to advertise it, but many will understand who I am talking about, the content has become very marketing with online sales of products from China with just a marking his brand, in short, everything revolves around money. Congratulations again for your work. 👍 Sylvain

I know exactly of whom you are talking about. I followed that 'other KZbinr' for a long time. As the time went by his ego, narcissism and greed grew bigger and bigger. I started disliking him. During Christmas he started preaching about *his religious beliefs* and offending other people. That was the last straw. I immediately blocked him and never looked back. He is a skilled and hard working technician, but as a person there is a lot to improve. Je Vous salue beaucoup!

@@miroslavstevic2036 Lesson giver, he is very strong, what completely made me stop is the promotion of manual desoldering pumps, and of course not to fail to point out that this super desoldering pump is on sale on his shop. I would have validated the interest if it was an electric desoldering pump, but this is ridiculous. His channel was good at the start, as was his talent as you say, but the success and especially the money revealed another person. @maz.reparateur Could make a parody of it with every 10 seconds a reminder that such and such a product is available on its online store. 😁

The genuin charger is always the best to test the charging circuit. If you do not have, you can try to initiate the charging by injecting some current directly into the battery. It's also possible that you need to emulate the 10kOhm NTC in the middle of the battery connector with a standard 10kOhm resistor to initiate the charge. Several ways to win. 😂
