It's actually possible to clear this level with Gamma without using any cheats. You'd probably think that Gamma can't clear this stage because launch panels don't seem to work, but if you simultaneously hover over one, Gamma launches pretty high up in the air. Using that little trick is necessary to complete Emerald Coast with him. Big and Amy, however, are a no go.

I saw another video afterwards that said something about a free movement mode that seems to be accessible through regular controller inputs for Tikal, so I figure that's probably it. But it's there for Eggman too, so it probably doesn't mean anything. I was thinking it might have been leftover code indicating Tikal was originally intended to be playable, with her own unique controls, including bring able to hover like she and Chaos do at the end of the game. That would be cool.

You can actually play as knuckles and tails through emerald coast halfway by glitching through the fence but only half since once you load the next part it spawns you on a spring

That’s exactly the reason to use the character select mod. You get to complete the stage without spring spawning or falling to your death instantly.

Hello again same guy that commented about the 2p swaps for Sonic adventure 2 :p In DX i just tried this mod and there was weird player indicators on the screen, like above my characters head it said p1 and i was playing Tails' story skydeck mission as Amy and above Sonic's head it should p2, but when the mission first started it showed cpu above both characters... Is there anyway to get rid of these or is it a glitch because of the mod?

Yeah, it’s part of the character select mod. It shows what player is what character when using the multiplayer feature. When playing alone, the 1P icon above the character you’re playing as represents... the character you’re playing as, and the CPU icon is above the computer-controlled character, which is in pretty much all cases Tails.

You can actually make it through with amy, but it takes a glitch where you jump over a speedbooster, and hammer jump to the ramp that leads to the second part of the bridge

Also, it is possible to complete the whale section with Amy without cheats! If you hammer jump onto the ramp, and then jump over the Boost panels, the whale dosent spawn! Which means you can get to the end! I’m pretty sure that’s how anyway.

You can't simply swap character models. There is kind-of Chaos 0 mod, but it can't be used with BetterSADX.

Okay, well, it is possible to make model edits, like the Shadow and Espio mods I showcased, but installing them almost always crashes the game unless BetterSADX is uninstalled, which simply makes the game slower and lower in graphics quality, plus no mods or codes can be used. If someone, or even me at some point, makes a working Chaos 0 mod at some point, then I'm not even hesitating in doing a video on it.
