Last year I bought two identical Vintage solid fuel Aga Rayburns on eBay and hubby stripped both down and rebuilt one Rayburn using the best pieces. After personally opening up a large bricked up inglenook in my 17th Century Norfolk cottage the refurbished vintage solid fuelled Rayburn was installed and I have been getting to grips with it ever since. I used it to boil at kettle and cook dinner on most days throughout autumn and winter.
Initially I fuelled my vintage Aga Rayburn with reclaimed palette wood but this option isn't always viable; most palette wood is soft wood and the Rayburn proved to be hungry for palette wood and it wasn't possible to keep up with finding palettes and continually chopping them up. It's now fuelled on a mixture of palette wood, kiln dried logs and compressed brick and logs supplied by Lekto Wood Fuels.
Lekto Wood Fuels have previously gifted me some of the products used in this demo but I readily recommend Lekto Wood Fuels to my friends and family.
