This is really great! I'm relatively new to Smash (mainly because I don't own it and I usually only get to play it once a week at my school's Smash Bros club), and videos on the characters I like really, really help get good ideas for what to add to my playing the next time I have an opportunity. Float was one of many things about Peach (I use Daisy, but there are a hundred more Peach guides vs. Daisy guides) that I had heard about but never really knew how to efficiently use, especially because since I don't get a lot of solo practice time, I can't mess around to see what I can do with it. It definitely doesn't help that the characters I really like are apparently super technical/hard to learn (I primarily use Daisy and Rosalina & Luma). I guess the short version of my comment is that I'm really grateful for this guide!

I'm glad I could help! Something to remember however is just because you enjoy a technical character doesn't mean you *have* to be technical with them. Especially in Peach/Daisy's case, you can get a lot of mileage out of them without utilizing any of their tech (usually at beginning/lower levels of play), as they're quite safe.

I’m relatively new to smash but I play a lot of wolf (he’s my secondary) and I like to use a little trick where you use reflect while in contact with the opponent, it zaps them and throws them up in the air which allows for combos. Great video I think I might pick up peach

Hello David 💖 I use a Gamecube controller with tap jump off and L set to jump! all the rest of my controls are default! I only play with the gamecube controller, but I'd encourage you to try different settings and see which one feels good to *you*! Tilt stick and L jump are very popular for ideas! I've been on a plateau for a while with my daisy, and the biggest hurdle for me is consistent float cancelling in the heat of battle. Not just float cancelling but having to string float aerials fast enough to perform true combos before my opponent can react. Its been a HUGE challenge thats been keeping me from advancing to the next level with this character. Like yeah I can go in training mode and practice float cancelling for hours then go against an opponent and just don't yeild the same results. Idk if peach players use a different button layout or if they have to use the C stick for airiels or what, but in my case it's very easy to mis input, and messes up an entire float airiel, because there's so much going on. So Im still having to conciously think about the inputs which definitely slow me down. But somehow some way I gotta figure out how to get these down by muscle memory. Surely there's a sure sure method. What's you're advice for those that struggle with float cancelling cause I'm sure this is a huge hurdle for alot of other peach/daisy players

Luckily, a lot of the lessons you may have learned from Peach can apply to plant as well. He still has a throw combo with Dthrow>fair, and a combo starter with Dtilt! Only thing I'm iffy about is overhead floating with dair. From Samsora's video, it's supposedly unsafe on shield, and a character like Charizard can just punish oos with his frame 6 up smash (which he can do without dropping shield first)

There will always be a character who is an exception to the rule, and maybe in this case Charizard is C: Even with the Dair nerfs (which I agree with), overhead float is still a viable option in Peach's kit for mixing up your movement and pressure!
