【Note: The speed of the "back to zero" at 5:47 in the video has been adjusted faster because of the length of time. The normal "back to zero" speed is slower.】

1. Helpful and much appreciated, maybe this video helps. Right now, I am having problems getting my Neptune 2S to work like it is supposed to be. Granted, this is my very first 3D printer (and I am still sure I've got me a good one), but right now I am at the end of my wits. The prints I make are usually fine by now, although still not always as exact as I would like them to be. But the problem starts when my prints begin to almost inevitably fail at a certain hight - either the printer creates spaghetti or, at least at one occation, it seemed to have stopped extruding completely, although the bowden mechanism was working. This will happen much more often with prints with a small diameter, while larger prints show the occasional layer shift. I think temperatures, flow etc are fine by now, adhesion to the bed is great, so I think my problems are vibrations, which is why I came here in the first place, to see if I missed something. I actually did, I kind of forgot that I can adjust the tension on the sleigh... Still, I can hear something vibrating inside the box with the extruder, do you have any ideas/suggestions about that? 2. Is there an easy way to tighten the belt on the x-axis? I tried to tighten the belt a bit, since a lot of people say that a belt not tight enough could cause such problems, but when you don't have someone around to help you, I find tightening the belt a somewhat difficult process on the Nptune 2S. 3. When it comes to leveling the platform, I think it could be helpful to mention that preheating the platform can improve results. Even more so when you are not using the platform that comes with the printer - I use a glas bed for PLA (since no matter what I've tried, PLA simply _won't_ stick on the original bed) and the high difference after pre-heating is quite significant.

Hello friend, regarding the first question, can you please take a video and shoot an email at 3dp@elegoo.com for further help? For the second problem, you can tighten the X-axis belt for a try. For the third problem, the PLA won't stick to the printing plate, you can apply solid glue. In colder weather, you could turn up the printing temperature, then adjust the platform temperature about 60 degrees.

@@ElegooOfficial Thanks a lot for your answer, I might use your offer to send you a video in case all else fails. About question 2, is there an easy way to tighten the x-axis belt? I find doing this quite cumbersome, at least when you are alone. There are a belt tighteners for the Ender 3 and apparently the one for the z-axis fits to the Neptune 2S, the one for the x-axis does not. And I find using glue a quite messy affair, with the adhesion only being slightly better. Blue tape did work a bit better, but in the end I got me a glas bed which works just great with PLA.

@@martulda I only tried making it work like it is but I installed a generic bltouch and I have managed to just get some prints but im still not confident enough to make recommendations just yet. I happened to make four holes into my heating bed... smh its been rough but i think im finding some more things out. Only time can tell... keep me posted though.

Hi, in addition to congratulating you for your precious videos, I wanted to ask you if by any chance you are aware of how to add the Elegoo Neptune 2 printer on cura, since by going to "add printer" the latter is not in the list .. .Thank you very much.

the rook file that comes with the mars 2 has some VERY optimistic settings, are you sure you aren't shipping one with settings for the mars 2 pro?

I'm just setting up my Neptune 2 and it's my first printer. At the 5:00 minute mark of the video, the person pushes down on the unit to bring it to the bottom. How much force is needed there? Mine won't move if I push quite hard. And for example, at 5:47 the arm moves down the Z axis at least 2-3x faster than mine does. Any tips on this aspect would be great! The set-up videos kind of miss providing useful information for new users who may not know how these are supposed to behave. Thank you.

Hello Dave, the push-down action(5:00) is to check if the Z-axis is smooth and does not require much force. If the Z-axis can not be pushed down, it is possible that the screw is stuck and needs to be readjusted. Besides, video within the "back to zero"(5:47) speed has been adjusted faster, the normal speed is slower.

@@ElegooOfficial Thanks! I've been printing pretty good for the last few weeks. I'm not sure how the Z-Axis is in regards to pushing on it at the moment, I'll have to check when I get home. But you're saying it should be pretty easy to push down? Is that when powered on or off? I'm concerned that even though I've been printing pretty good, that I'm putting too much stress on things if they're too tight. Hopefully I've got things good though. I'll double check tonight.

@@DavesChaoticBrain No worries. If it can work normally, no need to adjust the Z-axis. Feel free to let us know if you have any difficulties.
