fixed my wifi issue to update to .65! Password would say it was invalid (even though I use it for several devices) or it'd show me an x. Updated thanks to your vid and now I can see the gcode!

No you don't have to according to their instruction.

I'm having a problem with the UI screen update. I used a formatted 256gb micro SD and I plugged it in the back of the screen. I followed your steps but when I turn it on It just turns on normally and doesn't go to the white updating screen that you got and I legit have no idea what im doing wrong I follwed all the steps properly but yea maybe you got some info on what I can do possibly

This is from the instructions of Elegoo. "2. TF card (for updating screen firmware) It is recommended to choose the TF card that comes with the machine. Format it as: File system (F): FAT32 Allocation unit size (A): 4096 bytes"

Did you try other usb? They have requirements about the usb and the usb came with the machine may not work.

You should add the file to the root of the usb. If you already did, try another usb. It should be usb 2.0 and less than 16Gb

the touchscreen on my 4max isnt working right. it beeps when I touch it but nothing happens otherwise. Is there an update that could fix this and if so how to do I do it without a working touchscreen? I let Elegoo know, they sent me a new touchscreen, but same issue is still happening.

I don't know what is wrong. Since you have 2 screens you can try to update the firmware of one of those first to see if it helps.

This is what they said in the update instruction "If your current firmware version of NEPTUNE 4 MAX is earlier than 1.2.2.64, it is recommended to update the fix pack first to avoid errors due to compatibility issues." If I understand the English correctly, you don't have to install the fix pack.

Like I said, I only updated when I got problems. You can check what version of firmware it has. Usually the ones shipped later are already updated. I would give it a try before updating just to know the printer better.

Hi, thanks for the video! So I'm following step by step and I'm getting errors messages for updating firmware and screen firmware.for the printer firmware I kept getting an error message saying update failed make "sure in root directory" which it was. Repeared several times to same effect. It eventually updated after hitting confirm on this message a few times. I've tried to do the same thing with the screen firmware using the USB with SD card sent by elegoo. It's on the usb/SD card I plug it in to the console and get the same error message... what am I doing wrong? I'm not sure why I keep getting the error message. I don't see the console booting up as shown in your video. Just the normal startup animation.

You can check the "About Machine" to see if you got the updated version. If not, try another usb, the usb they sent with the printer doesn't work for me. I used my usb as you can see in the video. For the microSD card, try another one also or format it and retry. Happy printing.

Hi, you can check what your current versions are then redo again. You will need to get the FIX PACK first then everything else.

Can you start the printer? You can check what version you are actually have. You can also install the older firmware of the screen to try.

I appreciate your video but when downloading the same files and decompressing them it seems like my windows computer is creating different file types than what’s shown in your video and their walkthrough PDF I wonder how I can get around this I feel like it’s preventing it from working correctly

Did you try in another computer? Sometime Window has it anivirus or similar program to just delete the files on it own. Try with other laptop or maybe operating system to see if you still have same issue.
