This video really helped remind me of the basics of my MD and reassured me of the solid sounds it can produce, thanks!

I think machinedrum are very special drum machines. There is nothing like machinedrum. Except the Yamaha RX but machinedrum have more capabilities. I’ve got an analog rytm but I’m going to get a machinedrum again.

Is it true that the original Machinedrum has more of a punchy sound than the MkII?

Actually, the 4 individual outputs are not processed by on-board effects.

Hey Tom- Glad you like it. That particular song IS built with the MD. There's more like it over at soundcloud.com/lonely-paul I think this one is not hosted there- but if you message me on SC I will see about sending you some DL links.

ever since i saw this on the Ableton site i've been intrege but the question not answered here is how well it integrets into DAWs like Ableton. Any answers?

+Christopher Harriott The Machinedrum sequencer can control and be controlled by Abelton via MIDI, but as far as recording actual sounds from the Machinedrum, you will need to connect that like any other external instrument to record in your DAW. Most newer Elektron pieces use Overbridge to be controlled and recorded via USB and a plugin, but this piece is older and does not use that functionality. I hope this makes sense. Let us know if you have any more questions!
