The easiest way to attach Particular to a point in 3D space is to use a light as the emitter. So, create a light, make it the particle emitter, and parent the light to your Element 3D null.

Look on his site, on the blod when the element 1.5 update was being announced (the image w/ the police car), it says "OK, Before I go on… this update will unfortunately not be featuring 3D Shadows but we KNOW this is a top feature and are confident it will be available in V2 later this year (we’ll get to that later). " its on the blog posted Jan 14th 2013. Hope that helps!

You do realize* that 3DS Max is not mainly for creating 3D Objects, it is used a lot to texture and do lighting for CG Integrations for compositing later in After Effects or Nuke or whatever, and a lot of other things . But of course 3ds max is advanced and takes time to learn, Elements however is easy to use yet powerful.

You should make an upgraded Element 3D trailer on the product page and KZbin. Including the v1.5, metropolitan and v1.6 show files (soldiers running, air force 1, air plane flying, some cities, dominoes animation, foggy mountains, REVOLUTION work. When people come to buy E3D they see only v1 features. They only check what's new after they've bought.

hello, can anyone tell me how the null gets tracked to the plane after animation, because my null stays at the same place even when i move the position of the model.

Just clarifying. I used the word "idiot" toward Visiondrugs1 properly, not for one simple mistake in misunderstanding how something works.

That null object tool doesn't work for me. The Null gets placed in a totally different area, usually not even on my model. I can't figure if I'm doing something wrong, or if the tool is a lot pickier then this video makes it out to be.

I have a curious question regarding the position of particules between 3D objects, well if the objects are 3D and the particules use 3D space too, why its not generated automaticly ? like placing another 3D object between the others (instead of particules) ?

Could you try doing a tutorial to bring objects and textures over from C4D? I've read a lot of stuff about bringing a map of your object into photoshop and painting the textures there, but there has got to be an easier way to do this that I am missing.

one way is to use particular. make custom particle made of a cloud art... use box emitter with no speed fill up the box emitter with cloud particles.. You may want to use several variations of the particular cloud set up to create the natural organic look...

I'm trying to attach a flame to the exhust. I have a layer made just for flame using trapcode paticular and I used the generate 3d position but how do I attach the flame to it? I tried creating the position first then applying the paticular to it but the way I make fire I start with a red back ground and cut the flame out of it then adjust it to be a flame.that way is not working for me. someone please help and thanks in advance

1.6 gives me an error for multiprocessing(rendering multiple frames at once), give an unrecoverable error, but on 1.5 it was all good... i hope this problem gets fixed for me soon.(i have a GeForce 670 and an intel i7 3930k)
