Thanks for making this series helped me with my first ever kit. Definitely buying another one! Maybe a regular enduro this time!

Glad to help! The Enduro is a good base chassis to work off of!

As always your video has me stoked to get my Gatekeeper which I just ordered this weekend. Your body panels colour scheme are impressive and so is your scale garage.

Thanks man! It's a cool rig, but you have to know what to expect. It can be made to crawl very well, but at the same time, the cage will be a top-heavy compared to a lexan body.

I have a question about the paint. I just got my shocks done, and I will probably paint my panels next to give them ample time to cure while I finish the rest of the build. I was looking at the panels and they don't seem to have the overspray film on the outside. How did you paint yours? On the inside or outside of the panels? Thanks man and loved the build series. Some VERY useful and helpful hints 💯👊👍
@RevolutionX4 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. The panels do indeed have overspray film on the outside. If yours did not come with overspray film, then I would contact Element RC. Check to see that the outside is a little more dull than the inside which should be glossy. Check with the scrap pieces that you cut off from the panels to see if there is film you can pull off.

Just finished building mine. Except for the panels because i didnt paint them yet. Your vids were a good help at some points! For the panels i already have a colorscheme in mind. how did you do the lines and the goat on the side? just by masking with tape?
@RevolutionX3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes, I drew a "Gozer Dog" shape on a piece of masking tape, and then taped it on the inside of the panel to mask it off.

What size of wheels and tires are you using for the gatekeeper?
@RevolutionX4 жыл бұрын
I will be using 1.9" wheels with 4.75" tires.

Have a question😎 What is your opinion, Gmade GOM or element rc gatekeeper? Performwise maybe comp sometimes. Can't decide witch one I have to choose. Many thanx
@RevolutionX3 жыл бұрын
Completely different. The GOM is a 2.2 rig and the Gatekeeper is a 1.9 rig. The GOM would be running with Wraiths and Bombers. The Gatekeeper is a good platform, but the cage does hold it back. Swap the cage to the Ecto body and you have an Ecto, and performance will be better as well. I'd go with the Element Enduro based platform, since it's a 1.9 rig and it also has a bunch of options and configurations.

Hi can i use bigger Lipos ? I don't want to buy shorty's .
@RevolutionX4 жыл бұрын
I love my 3S shorties, and they're ideal with the Gatekeeper. There is one way you might be able to fit a full size lipo though. You'd have to fit it on the slider right inside the cage. You'd have to find a way to keep it in place though. You can try velcro to the slider or some other means.

You dont find a way to put the receiver in a waterproof box? There is no waterproof receiver box? Huge design oversight...for a 4x4 crawler that will probably see water..
@RevolutionX2 жыл бұрын
You can stick one on that back shock tower if you wanted. I just chose not to. I never run in water.

Bro they made so many mistakes on this kit it’s not even funny
@RevolutionX4 жыл бұрын
Can't please everyone. The chassis itself is good, but compromises have to be made if you are trying to add a cage to the chassis and make it interchangeable with the rest of your lineup. If they made the cage a whole new chassis, I'm sure it would've performed better. Given that though, I've been able to get the Gatekeeper to actually do pretty good with the main issue being top heavy side-hilling. I may remove the cage completely in the future and stick a lexan body on it with the IFS front.
