Why let them meet like this if they're never going to be together. Their chemistry is too much I'm so devastated Ok update a year later: my perception has changed so much and I actually loved this series because of their platonic relationship. I don't even remember making this comment 😂

Watching season 6 on Prime video at the mo, Feb 2022, the biggest mystery is how bloody big is Joan Watson's closet and how can she afford such an extensive wardrobe without apparently earning any money. She wears a different outfit in almost every other scene. Interesting crime procedural, just little to do with the legendary character created by Sir A.C.Doyle. Guess that is artistic license for you. :)

Hey I noticed in season 1 episode 8, a ring video doorbell. If they had a camera on the outside why would they need to look through the peephole. Sherlock also claimed he had a lot of security cameras. So it's like well let's make some money on rubbish, it's good but its annoying its all rubbish

The BBC version is very true to the books, of which I have read them all, many multiple times. Benedict was who I envisioned as Sherlock whenI read the books. Much of the dialog is word for word from the books. Loved it. Fantastic in every way. With that said, Elementary is also excellent, but very different. I find it very enjoyable short of a couple of actors. It was hard to accept as a die hard Sherlock fan, but the show really is good and as a true Sherlock fan, i gave it time and I'm very glad i did. . Just re-watched season 1 and really enjoyed it. Many laugh out loud moment of pure genius.

You're either lying or didn't understand what you have read or you've mistakenly read different books with similar characters names : elementary sherlock is more similar to the original than the BBC one was. The bbc version was so different that any hard-core reader would be furious to what the show writers did to him, sherlock was never a narcissistic one dimensional who knows everything character, he was 180 degrees different, he would explain his point of view and deductions to anyone who asked without acting superior.

@@mohammedaitlaarebi you obviously have not read the books, Pilot of Sherlock was nearly word for word out of the original book. Really like both, very different. Been Watching the Ronald Howard Sherlock of the 50s, they are fun 20 minute shows, interesting, but poor Watson is an absolute idiot. I have absolutely read every word Mr Doyle ever published.

@@boscomoroz326 i'm talking about the character not the stories : portraying sherlock as an egoistic narcissistic self centered character was a total 180 turn from the book. In the stories you'll find sherlock explaining his findings to anyone who asks without ridiculing them or acting superior, he would admit he's wrong when he was, and to solve mysteries he used reasonable deduction not jumped to conclusions, he elevated people to his level not crashed them and laughed at their mediocrity. That's what I meant. You can take the whole script word for word from an original, but the problem is in what you add to it, like what the producers did in the show.

@@christinamcilwaine350 You must be kidding me. Sherlock is much more faithful to the work of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, it is shot with cinematographic quality so that each episode is basically a film. They have a better script, rhythm and the relationship between the main characters works from the first moment. Even secondary characters like Lestrade have weight and the music score is a masterpiece. Have I already said that it is filmed in the city of Westminster, London in almost exact locations to the books? Elementary instead is a cheap and worn copy of Bones but also similar to many police programs. Watson female is just for gender quota and to generate unnecessary sexual tension. Hundreds of random characters to fill episodes and the originals are almost a parody (for example, Mycroft in Elementary is a fearful and paranoid man, meanwhile the Sherlock version is an important member of the British government and he has control of MI6). The excuse of using New York and not London is not credible. Thank you but no thank you.

Elementary is another boring generic police tv show, just change the names and locations and you’ll get NYCS, Bones, Monk, Castle, 9-11, Hawaii Five-0 and many others random shows, but now with gender quota, changing the main character (a Caucasian retired solder) to other one politically correctness (an empowered asian woman)🤮🤮🤮 Thank you but no thank you.
