This is literally the elementary school story with i feel guilty about the most and still haven’t confessed to this day: At the end of 3rd grade, my teacher gave us something a little unique to do than the rest of the 3rd grade classes, while others were playing with beach balls, we went to a “camp” and since i dont want to tell my teacher’s name in this, lets pretend the name was “Camp Smith”. So in Camp Smith, we had our own camping chairs, we of us ate hot dogs (im still guilty because im vegatarian) we made picture frames, had a “campfire” every day before dismissal, we had our own tents, and on the last day of Camp Smith, my teacher (who we will call Ms. Smith) gave us pillows and a sharpie, and told us to write our names on the back of every pillow except for your own. So MOST kids did that. A little backstory: I had always wanted to be friends with this girl, but ima put a fake name for her too, so lets call her Noelle. Now Noelle had short hair in which a tiny section was pulled back with a ponytail, wore pink all the time, brown eyes, blond hair, and was VERY SHORT for her age, just like me but not that short. Met all the requirements for a perfect girl for me at least at the time. So Noelle joined the school in 1st grade and from 1st grade to 3rd grade, i had tried everything to be her friend (Noelle probably didnt want to be friends with me because i kept bugging her) And then i was going to move to a another state from the west to the east at the end so I wasn't, probably never, going to be friends with Noelle. So I was writing my name on all the pillows (Tatum) and next to "Tatum", i would write the letters of Noelle's name on top of each other (if that makes sense) to express my hiding griefness while also not getting in trouble. Until when I glanced at Noelle writing her name on my pillow and it made me realize that I was moving away, leaving all my school life, which meant I will never talk, no you know what, not even SEE her again. So it hit me hard and my griefness and deafeatness of not becoming friends with Noelle took over. So on Ethan's pillow (another classmate) I wrote "Tatum", which im supposed to write but on the corner, away from my name, I wrote Noelle's names, not with the letters on top of each other, but like how you actually write Noelle. Like N o e l l e. Simple. So my STUPID 8 year old self thought that Noelle wouldn't notice, but I finished signing all the pillows, waited, and hoped that no one would notice. Guess what happens 5 minutes later when Noelle goes to Ethan's pillow to sign her name. "TEACHER! SOMEONE WROTE *_MY NAME!_*" So Ms. Smith just said, "Noelle, let me see Ethan's pillow." and looked at it, Noelle pointed it out and Ms. Smith had a mad face, turned around and said "WHO WROTE NOELLE'S NAME?!" You WILL be disisplined to go to the detention Room (it was a K-12 school, so even for the lower school there was detention.) Now admit it, or I will find out FOR you, and you will go to the detention room, principal office, and a beginning-of-the-school year suspension for 4th grade, even if you are moving schools." And Noelle was looking at us all, with a "How dare you" look on her face and scanning through everyone's faces for clues (except for her "BFFS" of course) Now i was very, VERY, *SCARED*. Detention and a suspension?! I might as well be dead (I have asian parents), so I bit my bottom lip hard, resisted the urge to bite my fingernails, and forced my face to look not suspicious. Me, being dumb out of my mind, was crossing my toes under my shoes and praying that someone would own up to it. Well duh, I did it and why would people who didnt do it risk getting frikin detention? So she was serious about the "finding out who it is" so she made us all, one by one, write a random sentence with Ethan's pillow on the side and I was like "PHEW, IM SAVED." because when I wrote Noelle I wrote it in a really fancy handwriting that i dont usually write in, so when it was my turn Ms. Smith was like, "Ok Tatum you're good. Savana, come here!" So she never did find out, and Noelle was mad at everyone and by that time I gave up being trying to be friends with her, and i ended 3rd grade super relieved, because Ms. Smith gave us a idenity fraud presentation because she was like "why did one of you try to be like Noelle, were you jealous. you could always talk to me!", and started sugarcoating it. I was still terrified and on the last day of school (because Camp Smith was near the end of the school year) she says "Whoever written Noelle's name and is too much of a baby to admit it (which everyone laughed to) just know that you could possibly end up behind bars for idenity fraud in future years. Just a heads up" before doing end-of-school-year activities. We got out happy, but I was super relieved that not ONE PERSON out of the 40 people in my class (39 kids not including me and one teacher) caught me. Noelle now that I look back loved to hold grudges, so she was looking at everyone suspiciously, but at that point I didnt really care. I never really had friends at that school (i have friends now obviously) so i was super relieved to be leaving that guilt behind and move forward, because like I said, we were moving at the end of the year. So we moved to the other side of the country and i built a much more happier life, leaving Noelle and Ms. Smith and incident behind. But the guilt still follows me to this day, 2 years later and i decided i'd share this story to let go of it a bit (even though it will always follow me around and i will never admit to anyone in person) so random story, nice video Chilly!

At my school (my class only) we also did math facts/sprints where we did 100 in 2 min, but we went up to 15. After 15 there was prime numbers, square numbers, roman numerals, phonetic alphabet, common decimal to fraction conversions, and more.

I remember in kindergarten there was this one time where kids got to pass a microphone around and say something. I didn’t get picked at all, even when I was the only person raising their hand for a turn, and the teachers ended it (it was a special ed class and I wasn’t a special ed student. I was in there because I was a twin who didn’t develop proper grammar and social skills). It happened in the first grade too, and we were in a group activity where people had to pick a word, reveal the first two letters, and first person to get it would go up. My brother picked on me to get the word and I got it, but because we were twins the teacher made him pick a new word and pick someone else and I didn’t get a turn. And people wonder why I didn’t like my school system...
