I really like how thorough this video is. It's a great explanation for new and long-term players alike. There is a small explanation I'd like to add. You still only do 100% of your weapon damage to Physical enemies with all elements. The extra 20% or 44% is from the perk itself, which would be 120% of your damage to both Physical and Water enemies with the Nature element for example.

i never understood why no one does a simple google search. meanwhile literally EVERYONE even in 160s right now is building stone in fire missions (not even with metal corrosion, which would be wrong anyway but that's another topic) even to the point of tearing down my initial metal builds or leaving game when they see them. all because some kid probably told some other kid that fire "melts" metal and that bad info spread, far and wide. i've had kids argue that exact "melt" thing with me in more than one game over the years. none of this even explains why we see ppl using fire weapons vs. water husks and you'd think that all whacky game stuff aside, at least real world common sense would put a stop to that, but nooooo. we're dealing with a game full of idiots who unfortunately don't want to learn anything, ever.

About the metal corrosion + water elemental husks: I personally use brick. Yeah, it seems crazy. But for what I experienced, the water husks take longer time to break brick rather than metal with metal corrosion. I tried multiple times and always ended up having to place the structures again when I use metal, while instead for brick I don't.

that's because you don't know what you're doing 🤣 with water husks even wood is 25% stronger than stone. dumb to use anything but metal, but if you want to be dumb at least use the slightly stronger material. basic husks shouldn't even reach your fort.

@@Taterstiltskin Trust me, I tried all three materials on this letal combo, and brick did the best overall. Just smashers had caused a little trouble IF they managed to reach the structures, for obvious reasons, but other than that, brick has always been the best for me in that case

My TP endurance isnt working anymore. There are a few issues that are causing it to fail before even reaching wave 10. Im only PL 101 but previously I was able to make it to wave 20-24 afk no issues. Larsis could you please make a complete build update utilising the terrain building changes (I ran out of builds). Thanks.

I think husky husks still cause metal corrosion, but miss monsters and smashes do not

but they don't. it literally tells you in game what husks do. and if you actually observe, you'll see the game devs knew what they were talking about when they painted this info all over the friggin game for you to ignore.

Basic husks cause metal corrosion. It’s in the description of metal corrosion. Try looking it up on Google if you still refuse to read it in-game.

Hey I haven't finished all the flex amplifiers builds yet here's how to build it run it without any builds to know where they spawn to be sure then leave & start building cover the spawn with drop traps (full durability) build you main tunnel and trap it well like use sound walls in the entrance and edited cones like i do to stop smashers close any other way the husk can follow specially flingers add a lobber shield or add anti airs for flingers and lobbers then test it

He has instructional vids of every kind including weapon perks. Hopefully you’re also not one of those players using the flame grill trap or placing a broadside that just shoots cannonballs off into the distance. Yes, I see players doing both of these in 160 missions. smh 🤦🏻‍♂️

Yes for the recycle builds with eliminations count waves, add some ceiling drop traps above the spawn for the ssds, and remove them later before endurance

Why do people start remove metal build and replace with brick if its not a lightning mission?

@@larsis I usually run 160s with constructor loadout with lofty architecture and power modulation in support. There are heal attached wall spikes to heal the walls. Its enough to manage the metal corrosion, isnt it? Its really annoying to see someone else destroying your build, last time I left the match immediately.

You miscalculated, no? Physical damage still has +44% to elemental enemies(144%), which is then divided by two (50% of damage here means 77%), or am I missing something? Thanks for the video!

@Wanpeld1 Not sure if you mean the numbers on the schematic or not these numbers were tested a lot by many people Like when you test a weapon and check the numbers, then change the element and check again

@@larsis It's just that I thought that there are two modifiers, right? One is modifier right at the schematic (Physical +44% or Fire +20% or Energy +20% etc) That's how we get 120% or 144% of damage in case of physical. And only then you get second modifier into evasion - that is which element of husk are you attacking (Physical will deal 50% to elementals and so on). Hence, counting in the first modifier (144% physical for example) you should count it too when attacking elemental husks (that would be 77%, not 50%, because we are dividing 144% of damage by two) If you don't count the bonus that you get with modifier on your weapon then it's just it's just 100% in the beginning and 50% if you're attacking elementals. Not 144% and 50%. These are taken out of different equations is what I mean.

I still prefer using wood in a metal corrosion + water husks mission. Actually I can say the same. If you build a base made of wood you will too try your best for the husks not to come close to the objective.

only basic husks can apply metal corrosion. with minimal trap prep a basic husk will NEVER come close to your fort. a husky maybe, a smasher sure, but none of them apply metal corrosion. therefore, metal is always the answer except for nature husks, period.

I dont know if it is just physical husks that deal the metal corrosion or just standard husks and husklings. I have always thought it was physical husks that were not mist monsters

all BASIC husks (physical/any element) and ONLY BASIC husks. not husklings, not huskies, just basic husks. this little factoid is literally in the game in several places, even with visuals on those loading screens where it shows you what a "basic husk" looks like and says something like "only basic husks deal metal corrosion."

I miss when we could get like 10 easy levels in like an hour in just stw I used to max out a battle pass in just the first week of the update but nowadays thx to the xp nerf I barely get 3 levels and struggle to get to level 80 before next season *how times have changed* 😭
