Elena is going to be in the top 3 very soon -- she is on a roll right now -- and if she has a deep run at Roland and Wimbledon perhaps evening winning one she is top 3 by the USOPEN but for sure by the end of the year -- she is beating everyone in top 10 and playing solid tennis -

Elena is the best female tennis player right now. Screw the rankings. Elena does not hit as hard as Sabalenka but she is more consistent and a few points better than Sabalenka. Swiatek is really good but Elena has her #. It may take a year or more for Swiatek to figure that out.

​@@benthekeeshond545 I agree with this analysis. I admire Sabalenka for the improvements she's made in defence and - especially - in getting her double faulting under control. That said, I can't bring myself to love her tennis. It's a bit too crash-bang-wallop for me, and she's so bloody *LOUD* with it. Rybakina has it in her to overhaul Sabalenka, and she's incredibly quiet on court, and mercifully drama-free. I love Iga dearly, and think she's an incredibly impressive young woman in many ways. Her serve is a major Achilles heel, however, and is the main reason why she's quite likely to be overtaken as World No. 1 by the end of this tourney. She needs to strengthen her serve, especially her 2nd serve, and I'd love to see her bring back some of the variety that she used to have in her game. She's got the talent to play any shot, let's see her do it.

Truly nice seeing and meeting with Daria who makes great company. Frankness and honesty always keeps misunderstandings at bay.
