From what we see here, Elena appears fresh and confident in her body language. Her physical features have also improved in appearance drastically - thank God, the press conference appearance at the USO was alarming to say the least. Psychological abuse is rarely documented and is very difficult to prove, but now that Vukov is out, she looks far more relaxed, like a weight has been lifted off her shoulders. Would be interesting to see what Goran brings to the table as far as results on the tennis court are concerned. 🤞

Rybakina is, definitely, has on of the best serves in WTA. But still she rarely goes unbroken in a match. A lot of these lost games on serve force longer matches, which leads to harder recoveries. If Ivanisevic can just stabilize the serve, limit games, where Elena is broken, this will shorten majority of her wins. Just this could help with health, recoveries etc. Excited to see this collaboration.

Rybakina is too savvy to air any dirty laundry in public. Suffice to say that relationships between players and coaches are complex. Some players respond to an arm around the shoulder and others respond to a kick on the backside. If a player is in the latter category a coach has to tread a narrow line between what is motivation and what is abuse. After 5 x years a change was warranted because after that length of time the coach has nothing new to offer the partnership. If his treatment of her sometimes bordered on abuse and he has nothing new to offer then a a change is best.

I mean, Goran could coach any ATP player, literally ANY, even if Alcaraz splits with Ferrero he could be coached by Goran. Rune and Tsitsipas split with their respective coaches recently, they could've been coached by Goran easily. That's the biggest surprise of the year, overcame Iga's split with Tomasz.

@Solis22524 күн бұрын
Push her to the limit? Not going to take it easy? What would you consider that? Goran or any coach is the player’s employee!! You let an employee be toxic to you? Someone you are paying.? Glad to see she knows when enough is enough and can take that into her experience with Goran. The ability to speak up for herself.
@juismac24 күн бұрын
@ push her to her limits not the limit. If you want to be a champion and don’t welcome a coach that can get the very best out of you then you have the wrong coach. If a coach is abusive or a wrong fit then they’re not going to get the best out of you. Goran has been a champion, worked with champions so I’m thinking he’s going to be demanding without being abusive or toxic.

The field for the next AO is getting very interesting… Sabalenka will try to win her 3rd consecutive title there while Rybakina, Osaka, Iga and Coco are all changing coaches, wich means we could see some improvement in their games in Australia, since they will have plenty of time to adapt until there (I already perceived some positive changes in Osaka and Coco during the asian swing). Furthermore, theres Muchova, who made the semifinals there in 2021 and is back on a dangerous form. It will be very entertaining if they all can get there healthy

Thank you for the story but the REAL story is that Ryba WON that photoshoot and that's without even seeing the whole outfit/dress! She does not even look like herself. WHOEVER did her hair and makeup SLAYED! 10's across the board; now 2nd place was Coco with her Whitney Houston gown on; but the color and cut was flattering on her. 3rd place was Saba, that green on her was/is GORGEOUS but she gets points taken away for those hideous sandals. If those are PANTS (I can't really tell) and had a pointy toe shoe, she would have leaped over Coco for 2nd! Now, for the doubles gals! I'm not as familiar with them but the duo at the back right hand side takes 1st place; Sara/Jas P, 2nd place and Tay Townsend/Sinakova 3rd! They slayed TT's hair/makeup/dress but points get taken away for those sandals and Sini's pagent hair and dress, makeup and color of dress on point though! I don't BELIEVE you didn't cover this! Lol! But as for Goran being Ryba's coach, I'm not mad, I just wish the players (especially WTA) would give women coaches more of a chance instead so much of these "pass around men!" 😂 Anyway, go get em girls! Proud of them all for being the best of the best this year! 🤗💞🎾👍

As a Rybakina fan, I will say that I don't think Goran was a good choice. Rybakina's main problem is her inability to handle difficult shots. She doesn't have great natural reaction to the ball. And so she makes too many bad shots. Part of it is her footwork and the other part is just she doesn't have good feel of the ball. Sometimes she seems lost as what to do. How is Goran going to help here? He's not known for his great footwork or his ability to handle tough balls. He didn't even have good ground strokes. So helping Rybankina improve her already good serve is not really what she needs. This will not be good.
@J-M-Rock24 күн бұрын
Spot on! I think the fact that he coached Djoko makes him a top coach but like you not for Ryba. I root for her always and she does get lost sometimes and doesn't always have a good feel of the ball. The foot work is her biggest problem (I think of Coco and Iga they have very good foot work).
