Did she interview for a series with MTV or are you just commenting that MTV should hire her? For sure, she should totally have her own series on MTV or any network that will take her.

These videos are such a treat! Folasade is so charismatic and engaging, you can tell how much she loves her community. Well done Elena with the tight intro, smooth transitions and thoughtful questions. I especially loved the footage/imagery of historic Harlem--it's obvious you did your research and it the added context is much appreciated.

This video helped me pick my NYC neighbourhood. Love this so much as an international student very far away from home it can be hard to just get a taste of that from so far, especially since the last year. This looks a little like home :)

I’m West African and didn’t even know places like this existed in NYC. Thanks for highlighting rich cultures that are otherwise overlooked by westerners Elena!! DEFINITELY visiting these places on my next trip to New York!

I grew up in Washington Heights so it’s nice to see a KZbinr showcasing northern Manhattan culture, which is honestly so special and a really authentic part of NYC! So many people in other parts of Manhattan aren’t even true New Yorkers born and raised. But if you go north, you’re among some true native New Yorkers who are the backbone of the city!

As someone who used to live in Harlem (and have been to the James Baldwin Lawn many times), you couldn’t have highlighted this beautiful part of the Big Apple better! Also, Folasade is gem and preached the history of black excellence in Harlem in such a beautiful way! Need to see a tour of her apartment NOW.

I love the fact that you shared that you are of Iranian origin , many people of Iranian origin are very stigmatized due to movies and non-nuanced media coverage that activates racial stereotypes about people of middle eastern decent , and even though you acknowledge the fact that you are white passing, I still think its nice and of value, that you use your platform to offer a more diversed , positive and uplifting image of women of Iranian decent.

I absolutely loved this episode. I loved how you stepped back and let her be herself and to tell the story of the community. I love how you did your own research as well before transitioning to Folasade and letting her lead. You also asked some really great questions. When I visit New York again I now where I will be going. Thank you for this :)

I'm not one to often comment on videos, but after watching each video in this series, I sincerely hope you receive recognition (& a TV/docu-series contract!) as a result because the amount of research, work & editing that goes into these is unmatched on this platform.
