One of the best songs ever! "There's home in your heart, when there's heart in your home."

not just the lyrics. The sound and instrumentation is the most beautiful and organic i have found. so lucky to have found this band. Head and the Heart, for instance, is a wonderful and deeply compelling band on many levels, Crosby Stills Nash and the amazing man they rode with, etc..I don't remember seeing washboard, saw, stand up base, little banjo etc..no disrespect, but this band is unique and talented and visionary in every way

Their unique sound??? They sound like thousands of performers, from Crosby Stills Nash to The Head and the Heart or Barr Brothers. Girl is a combination between Bjork/Natalie Merchant. Ain't nothing new here. But I like this band, they play with good taste, and that is a value!

Wow... a lot to disagree with here. I do agree that Bonnie sounds a bit like Merchant, but the other half of that would have to be Judy Collins. I'm in my forties. My mother had a BFA in piano and my father was a devout folk fan. I grew up with a LOT of different music in the house. Brahms, Taylor, Mozart, Simon&Garfunkel, Lizst, Mamas&Pappas, etc. My own tastes are even more far reaching, from Dr Dre to Jan Garbarek, Cat Stevens to Iron Maiden, Stevie Ray Vaughn to Pink Floyd. I KNOW good and unique music and Elephant Revival is one of the best neo bluegrass bands ever. Hell, I'd even put them on par with Simon and Garfunkel in terms of nuanced lyrics and eclectic instrumentation. Folk music was lessened significantly when they broke up.

Your assessment of them and what they did is 100% correct. I’ve seen Bonnie play a saw, not done by too many lately
