@Frankie horrific is right the poacher's trap baby elephant's and there beaten to obey and sold to the trekking camps the trekking camps buy the babies cheap they are scum as the baby elephant's don't all survive the breaking and then the year's of work if they do the government politician's take bribes so the trekking camps aren't made illegal the foolish people say return them to the wild is giving poacher's a way to make money the camp's are the problem till there shut down elephant's are always in danger there's a trekking camp across the river from ENP there elephant's try to escape to ENP some have made it to freedom but are returned to there cruel owners who put even more chains on them they want to escape so badly but get no help when they do.

We are hypocrites ourselves when we judge the Thais for exploiting elephants when people in other countries, including our own, also exploit animals! I was never condoning the ownership and cruelty of elephants, in fact, all ownership of elephants should be banned and punishable by jail! Not only should we ban elephant riding, but we should also ban the riding of other animals such as horses and ponies! These animals also go through the cruel breaking-in process for them to submit to humans riding on their backs. Our ancestors needed to ride horses as a form of transportation but in today's world, an ATV (all-terrain vehicle) could do the same thing a horse can!

These elephants were brutalized through Torture Training which preceded being forced to work, worked 12-14 hours when working so that they didn't have time enough to eat enough, then chained when they weren't working, how can anyone call any of that "good?"
