I rode an elephant many years ago. Even though I was only about 6, I could feel how unhappy the elephant was. I didn't know how to process the feeling, so my parents just thought I was being a "brat". Same reason they only took me to the circus once or twice- Sorry, mom and dad!

I took my children to woodland park zoo in Seattle Washington many years ago. I felt nothing but sadness. It was after the zoo made the cages what they called ,natural settings, still the elephants were changed, when on display, how is your that natural it that. The aquarium for the bears was very small. The giraffe had no place to run. And at that time had a baby giraffe, what a crule terrible place to grow up. Too sad for me.. Never went back. Àll of the animals were sad, a terrible place.
