Oh just be glad they've been set free from the terrible previous life they had. Some of them look in very poor condition and show signs of previous abuse.( thin scarred ears from beatings, hooks being pulled about). And it is not a zoo. It"s a reserve (which isn"t a fancy name for a zoo) with all the natural features of ordinary territory including jungle and a wide river. I've never come accross a zoo 68 sq. miles in size ( the size of this reserve). You think after years of cruel domestication they will suddenly adapt and suddenlly now how to cope?

Thank you for sharing this uplifting video. The joy these elephants are experiencing is palpable for everyone to observe and experience WITH them... I pray that they can show this video to others who have imprisoned elephants, and perhaps it will move their hearts to realize what they're doing is wrong... The best way to change peoples attitude is through loving and compassionate education. If we were to reveal are out rage and anger toward them they would harden their hearts and it would make them firm in there resolve to keep an elephant chained up. If we gently and lovingly show them the joy that these elephants experience at freedom, and let them realize just how intelligent elephants are, and that they dohave a sense of self-awareness, perhaps this vile and inhumane practice will come to an end.

My guess : they have never been in a body of water before. At best, they were likely hosed down with some water or buckets of dirty water thrown at them once in a while. Animals did not comitt any crime, they were born free just like the rest of us.

This is such a wonderful of these freed elephants! Their joyous celebration is beyond description! I find that the Asian elephants are much more expressive in how their body language is much more animated than the African elephants. The Asian Elephants use their tails much more in how they curl them up reminding me more like pigs or dogs. Also their vocal “speech “ is more diverse like sounds that sounds like barking & various intensities. Like the African elephants, the Asians also can communicate in ultrasonic frequencies. Thank you for filming these three unchained elephants expressing their joy! God bless you Lek and all those you love and assist you in your work. Just as I admire the DSWT in Kenya for the incredible job they are doing for the African elephants. The greatest accomplishment that they do is the reward when the baby orphans they cared for go back to the wild especially when they bring back their wild born babies to show them to the DSWT Keepers who raised them. God bless all of them as well!

They are FREE! I am sure they have much to say about their years of abuse. However, I am also sure they have even more to say about the joy and happiness they are experiencing now. THEY ARE FREE .... FREE AT LAST!

I've seen A LOT of elephants. I've never seen elephants acting like THIS! The elder elephants were instantaneously kids again! The way they kept shaking their leg was amazing! Elephants should never have to celebrate FINALLY being free! That brought so much joy to my heart!
