That Rhubarb soap looks like a cherry ice so delectable...I'm going to look for a cherry fragrance for it. I made one of your soaps today. Can I tell you I HAVE PERSONALLY been making soap from scratch for over 8 years, that recipe of yours turned out one of the best soaps I've made in a very long time. You truly are THE best. Thank you for sharing

So,...I made Cashmere soap too! I love it! Great idea! I also added Oat Oil to my recipe. I had wanted to try Oat Oil since I saw your Flax Seed Gel video forever ago. The luxury of Cashmere and Oat Oil...I couldn't resist. Thank you so much for the idea. Your videos are fabulous and soooo inspiring! ❤️

I use 90% rubbing alcohol spray on top of the soap before putting the soap to cure to help decrease soda ash. You can use a steamer to get the rest off.

After Christmas season its time i made some more soap its been over six months. Thank you for continuing to produce high quality videos and sharing your knowledge. Have a safe and happy Christmas

I also get a lot of soda ash no matter how I put my soap to bed. One video said to use a steamer so I've tried that and it works for the most part.

I was really excited to use cashmere in my soap. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out too great. I used Mongolian Cashmere fibers in my soap, once I cut the soap I noticed that it had an odor. It smelled like gas! It also had an odor when I put the fiber in the lye water. The lye water turned a yellowish color, but I didn’t think much of it. Is this normal? Btw, I love your channel! Very relaxing!
@tellervo.10 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! Sorry there was a problem. My lye water turned just a slight yellowish color, I think there was a slight smell too when mixing but not in the finished soap. The gas smell sounds strange but it might just go away with time so I would wait and see.

Your soaps look luxurious. Thanks for sharing so much with us. Love the style of your video’s, very relaxing. Do you spray your soap with 99% rubbing alcohol after having made it? That usually keeps the soda ash to a minimum. Hugz, Tree

I am asking again that in what formulation do you measure water for your soap.. Is there any formula to find the amount of water for the amount of oils.
@tassiegirl199111 ай бұрын
Tellervo has put together a small booklet on soap formulation it is very reasonably priced (online) and worth purchasing. You can also find the information in a you tube video or two by Elly’s everyday soapmaking , Elly is in Australia and also has excellent videos for new soapmakers, i learnt from her videos. Hope this is useful
