Regarding the score in the video; i think you can insert a 'title box' (text box) and have it as a second timeline over the footage timeline. For each clip you can just copy+paste the text boxes next to each other and change the number. Maybe it's what you're doing already, but the way you explained it sounds like a bit more work. Really grateful for the game footage tho! 🙌🏽

Coach I've got my first tourney on Friday, it's my first time in an actual club. It's been hard getting past the fear factor which causes me to mess up more then i should, any tips on getting past the fear factor?
@ge3nie4223 жыл бұрын
I'm not Coach Donny, nor an actual coach, but a player who went through the same thing you did. The first few games are gonna be hard because you're still trying to adjust to the atmosphere of a tourney but as you keep playing you should start to get comfortable. It's probably different for everyone, but the best way to get rid of that nervousness is to just constantly play in high-energy settings. This may not be the best advice but I hope it helps nonetheless! Good luck!

What I tell my daughter is to never be afraid to make a mistake. She’s still learning! Just realize that you’re going to make mistakes, so taking the pressures of being perfect OFF at the get-go will help! Just acknowledge your mistake and then do what you can to fix it. Good luck!
@daasian13 жыл бұрын
Hopefully, you have a good team surrounding you that understands where you are at and will help you get through those jitters. I also agree with the other comments that you will make mistakes and just don't be hard on yourself. The more you play the more comfortable you will get. Volleyball is just plain fun to play, so just go for it and have a short term memory for your mistakes! Good luck!
@sting82423 жыл бұрын
Thank you all!
@christophschmidt90383 жыл бұрын
I would recommend to just celebrate each litle action that might lead to a point. As long as you are in a good mood, you won't focus on your own mistakes. Your team will trust you and you can trust them. I made the mistake of challenging myself too hard and being too harsh with myself. Hope you do better. Good luck to you. What position do you play?

That gym looks so clean. Is the floor titled? It looks like it belongs on a 80s space ship TV show. A lot of leagues, at least here in Metro NYC, start tourney's (and occasional games) at 4. It's weird to see Donny without Josh.

Wow you guys are awesome!!! Nice offense though as a middle, i do have a few questions. Every time the middle wearing black would get set it seemed like he was hitting the ball with a very bent elbow and not at with and extended arm…. i’m wondering if there is a technique to this that i’m missing here or is it possible that he needs higher sets or a different timing in order to get the full range of his swing? i can also say from the setters perspective it can be difficult to know just how high your A quick tosses are when jump setting so could that be part of the issue? Everything I saw looked great but i can’t help but feel like with a tall guy like that there could be more range for where those attacks get hit especially when a majority of the offensive damage was from outside and opposite!! Maybe that’s just where he likes the ball to be set? I would just like to know how i can get more options while swinging on a quick middle set

Don't know a thing about editing but would it be easier to leave a permanent score counter through the whole video? Shrink it down to just 0-0 in one of the corners with a short identifier (like TO for Tall Ones) above each side so that you'd just have to change the value after each point

@theecat36893 жыл бұрын
same thought i had! but its probably just perception issues? maybe the organizers were worried that if the players are used to 15pt or 25pt games, they might not feel the same pressure of seeing 20pts on the board as when its 24pts... maybe 🤷😂
@LamarCardinalChaos3 жыл бұрын
Likely seen as less confusing when later rounds of the same tournament go the full 25. That way there's no question when said game is over. Have had this issue personally.

So many service errors. Your opponents werent close to your skill. They had like one or two good players. So actually just giving the ball over might have scored more points cause of huge blocks and fast defense. Nevertheless i like the setter. He brings some fancy plays. Communication to the oppo will improve naturally during practice. The two lefty spikers honestly just had no match. It was all like warm up hitting. I am super jealous but i will play my first tournament in two weeks. Looking forward to that.
