If you right click belts with andesite or brass casings, it gives them a little decoration and doesn't consume any of the casings. Those would be nice for the new wash-smelt-cookinator.

You may want to use a sequenced gearshift for the elevator, because currently you are dependent on the speed of the elevator and if you needed to change that speed, you'd need to figure out a new time for the adj. repeater

You could use redstone contacts to have the gantry automatically detect when it's at a floor and then tell the redstone to stop, eliminating the need for a cooldown and timer, and improving the precision of the elevator.

Zedaph you could try using redstone contacts for the elevator they're blocks that are attached to structures that emit a redstone signal when they come in contact . you could have one on each floor to stop the gantry carriage .

I generally never play modded Minecraft, but this + Tango's series has made me fall in love with Create. Building a giant factory around a guardian farm right now, where I'm cooking the cod the guardians drop in a furnace engine (using kelp from my nearby kelp farm as fuel) in order to power the guardian-killing mechanism. The cod must flow!

Just a tip for machines, you can use the wrench and scroll wheel on the side to set the rotational bearing to never place when losing power so you can automatically avoid overflow without breaking whatever farms you make with said bearing. Plus the brass/andesite casing tip works for shafts as well so they can go through blocks without leaving an ugly hole. You can also right click belts with dye to give it a trim on top without consuming the dye, and it applies to the whole connected belt. Colour coding is super helpful, I.E grey dye for the iron transport, red dye for copper, yellow dye for gold, etc.

RECOMMENDATION: Try to use the *sequenced gearshift* to configure how much the elevator needs to move between floors, it is a life changer, this block is just so useful

You've probably already thought of it, but you could easily replicate your Hermitcraft S6 'portable wall of storage' idea here with a minecart assembler- no need for shulker boxes with Create!

The mechanical crafter can also be used to auto craft vanilla recipes. Use a mechanical arm to put stuff in automatically.

You could add a mechanical saw to your workroom it has a decent amount of useful recipes ; more planks per stripped log and can make more shafts per andesite alloy (6 shafts per alloy sawn instead of 8 per 2 manually crafted) just have to remember to set the recipe filter for the saws.

Hey Zedaph, Attribute filters allow you to filter by tags, including tags like 'Can Be Washed" or "Can be Baked" or "Can be crushed" - combined with depots and you can drop items on and only pick them up after they're processed.

Man vanilla could really use some of those brownish stones, it look fantastic! Granite being the one that even do not have bricks variants. As 1.17 we got a bunch of darker gray stones which is nice but adding in the future a couple that are a bit colored in the browns family or just some not grayscale with bricks and stuff variants could be amazing

I would recommend you put a hopper or chute beneath the slaying spot to auto-collect all the drops for you; you can then route them onwards to a mechanical sorting system to fill out a big ol' storage system.

You can use automated crafting to craft anything, not just the special recipes. It's very useful to automate the production of crafted items like casings and andesite alloys.

If you gather some blaze spawners and set them aside in their own grinder to just die without gathering XP, you could set up some infinite automatic furnaces or something

I actually spent a day inventing an infinite lava machine. It uses a cobble generator and blaze cakes. With both a sugarcane farm and egg farm hooked up to it, it only needs to be fueled with netherrack. It's still a bit rough, there's nothing to stop items from backing up on the input lines when the chests are full, but I made it myself and am proud. I doubt I'm the first to have done this, but it was a cool experiment.

Friendly reminder the auto crafting machine can do any 2X2 or 3X3 crafting of any kind, so it's not limited to its giant recipes. And if you are making a machine to automate production like that you don't need the full size, only the size of the item you're making.

using a programmable gearshift, you can set it so when it is activated, it moves a gantry a custom amount of blocks, all by the single press of a button. I hope this helps in simplifying the design, and give it more potential :D

Set the gantry in the floor. Make it flush then put the time to 7 sec. You'll be right as rain. Everything will be flush and it won't look like that. Cool elevator though! I love the concept.

an interesting idea would be to use observers to trigger the elevator stopping instead of trying to pre time it. That way you could have multiple stops, that may be at different height increments

If you hold shift while scrolling on the speed controller you can change the speed by 1 at a time. If you did that you should be able to get the elevator to land more precisely where you want.

I would recommend putting something on top of the gantry pole so you dont accidentally stand on it when you send the elevator down. Gravity is not your friend.

Suggestion: you can program a sequenced gearshift to move the gantry X blocks, so all you need to do is toggle the regular gearshift and pulse the gantry, that way you don't have to mess around with timings
