Elevation Profiles and Cross-Sections in QGIS

The elevation profile looks amazing with some tuning of the style (e.g., using rounded points). However I'm unable to add the elevation profile on a QGIS layout for printing. It suddenly seems to be limited by a point budget. Do you happen to know a solution?
