This ninth elevator chime compilation covers chimes, beeps and also voice announcements from Fujitec, one of the "four big Japanese players".
Chimes and beeps featured in this video:
Bell chime: Usually heard in older Fujitec elevators from the 1980's and 1990's. In some high-rise installations where a hall call prediction feature is present, the chime will ding once after the call button is pressed and ding twice when the car is arriving.
Classic chime: Commonly heard in older Fujitec elevators from the 1980's-1990's. Sounds almost like the chime used in older Toshiba, Hitachi and OTIS (Japan) elevators. In many high-rise installations, the chime ring once for up and twice for down.
SJEC-like chimes: I don't know how to call this particular chime but it sounds almost like the chime used in SJEC elevators. This particular chime is usually heard in Fujitec elevators in railway stations in Japan, especially the RAKUL series elevators (a special MRL elevator designed for railway stations)
Standard chime: The standard Fujitec chime commonly heard in almost every newer Fujitec elevators since the early 2000's. Some installations from the late 2000's onwards features a slightly higher pitch chime. In Japan, this chime is used a lot in Fujitec XIOR (bottom drive MRL) elevators.
Other/custom chimes
Button beeps, including rapid beeping sound to indicate locked floors (only managed to find one in Japan)
Door opening and closing beep in a HDB block in Singapore to conform disability regulations.
This video also covers Fujitec voice announcements in Japanese and English, from travel direction, door and floor announcements. With the exception of the 22 storey HDB elevator, most of the English announcements featured here are from Singapore (with one from Penang, Malaysia), and were voiced by Juanita Melson (1945 - 2017), a former Singaporean radio veteran who also voiced the SMRT train and station announcements between 1996 and 2008.
