@@robertsmithshobbyproductions I stayed there a week ago and in one of the 18 to 30 elevators the key card reader decided to break. That caused a huge issue that evening, but it was fixed by the next morning. I was staying on 30 (I could have had something higher up but they offered me a suite on 30) and because I had access to the lounge on 42, I had to go down to 10 to catch the elevator up to 42, at least in theory. Because of the issue with the one elevator, I was told by one of the lounge attendants to use the service elevator. None of the staff cared.

It’s not like you can’t ride them at all. Don’t let one experience take away the thrill from riding up to 42 at the very least. And who knows, if you catch the elevators at the right time during check in periods, you may be able to catch a ride with someone who has a keycard

furry weekend atlanta takes place in this hotel every year, during the event the elevators are packed and operating at their max capacity so to save time during the event the readers are turned off, this last event 18-30 only had 2 of the 4 elevators operational and it was causing enough problems that we started using the staff elevators during peak hours. with how big the event has gotten the past few years we've had to hire on site tech's to maintain the elevators for the durations of the con. if you want to stress test something just throw 15,300 furries at it and see what happens

I knew that this was going to happen at some point. But what we don't know for sure is if you have a hotel key card will it let you go to every floor or is it the one of those key cards that only let you go to the floor your room is on. That's something someone can try by staying there. Maybe it even isn't worth it anymore if you cant go to every floor as a hotel guest. I guess at least you can still go to the other floors even if you dont stay there.

That’s very good of the hotel that they’re allowing us to come in and still ride the high rise elevators up there. You can still ride the high rise elevators up to 42 and that’s what really counts for us.

No. Don’t do that. It’s not gonna work, especially if they’re smart keyed! If the new rule that Marriott will smart key their elevators, then there’s a big chance the New York Marriott Marquis will do that at anytime! JW Marriott Miami elevators are definitely smart keyed!
