Hi there! Did you use it with 27m lines? Or with the standard 22m bar ?

Hi there! 🤙🏽 We are currently using the standard 22m bar. Is there any way we can help? Let us know if you need any assistance. -Aaron

4x4 canopy on the RS.It's going to be tough but how much heavier than a 17m Contra ?

Great question, Ray. 🤙🏽 We’ll have to get those both on the scale and compare.

at what kind of windspeeds would you be able to get going with this kite? I got an RS10 which I like a lot, and looking for a bigger kite to be able to get out on the water earlier. I weigh 74kg/163lbs, any advice? Also looking at flysurfers etc. Love the idea behind these, but I don't like the price tags ;-)

Just checked, but still curious to your advice :-) According to the eleveight website, it's for my weight from around 11-12knts for the 14m. Would that work with that Atmos 136 Carbon of mine in like 12-13-14-15 knts?

@@Kah0ona yes totally. Or you can learn to foil and use the 10 in that wind range

What wind speeds? How many struts?

Great review. I seemed to spend my time battling to stay upwind with big grunty kites. ( kiting 18 years) Pull like a train but hard work. Sold, bought a nugget and used my 12, waay more fun. This kite might be a good option though..

Any idea if the super low bar pressure applies to the smaller sizes also? Need a 12m with lower bar pressure due to bad elbow tendinitis. I'm guessing the 12 would also have lower bar pressure? Thanks

I tested the 12 last year but for the life of me I can’t recall the bar pressure. That said all the eleveight kites I’ve tested felt light. Not as light as North but significantly lighter than say Cabrinha or Slingshot. - Rygo

I should add old slingshot as the new machine is actually pretty mellow! - Rygo

I got this kite RS 17 I’m not sure about the extension lines,do you know when I can put them on and why do I need it I tried few times to put them on and the kite just not responding at all actually the wind make folding on it Cheers
@MatDGVLL3 жыл бұрын
Line extensions give your a wider wind window and more room to work the kite in light wind. Use it when you feel underpowered. I use 5m extension for my RS 10 instead of go with a 12m

Eleveight useable on slingshot bars?
@MACkiteboarding3 жыл бұрын
Great question, Sander. 🤙🏽 Yes, you may fly an Eleveight kite with a Slingshot Compstick bar. Cheers to your next session, my friend

What differenciate the 17m to a smaller RS one in terms of design ? I own a a RS 12m and I suppose that the 17m is just the same scaled up ? I thought light wind kinds would be kite designed for light wind only
@xtefanxxx3653 жыл бұрын
With the last generation you get 3m lines extensions for the light wind versions, which started imo at 14m Seems they don't do this anymore and I don't think there was a big difference in materials and so on but the bigger and smaller sizes.

It seems like the "rubber" bar feeling is the gimmick of current generation of Eleveight kites. My XS 14m has the same feeling, when I couldn't feel the appropriate amount of feedback from the kite, which often resulted in oversheeting. Although setting the lines on higher bar pressure fixes that issue, yet kite remains responsive and doesn't lose much of the turning speed.
