This is exactly how my dad parented me as I grew up, we were always close even now and I'm always greatful just having a dad like him. I was born in 1992 in December and related so hard to this show and to these 2 for so long, trust me having a parent who is like this does come with some benefits when you get older even though it maybe mildly traumatic it gives you strength and respect for them. Never ever disrespect your because they're your role model and all family's have unique experiences of this so don't take it for granted. I love my mom & dad greatly and am so grateful to have them in my life!
