Howdy Steve...all is well my friend....I have not forgotton I owe you a video and I really have no more excuse. Other than the fact that I struggle with all the changes in the You tube format and their attempts to control free speech. Appreciate your checking in on me and I will take a camera along on my next hike...Just to show everyone I'm still alive!...LOL... Seems a lot of folks have turned their youtube channels into more of a career, which has never been my goal. I miss the the old videos where it seemed we were a tight community of creators caring more about each other than making a buck!...just my two cents! Anyhow, I pray you are well amigo and please know you are much appreciated...woods

Steve Fisher, Good name amigo! Thanks for the kind words Steve...Its just not the same without ol Jay along...but me and Dinga Dude still get out pretty regular...I've never been one to hang around the house driving the Mrs crazy!...LOL...the youtube folks got so dang many rules and restrictions anymore...I find it a hassle just to put up a video...They also put all those pesky commercial advertisements onto my little no nothing videos and without so much as asking. Sure good to hear from an old friend...stay blessed and taker easy, but taker!...woods

Good to see you Woods, and Dude of course. I remember you mentioned in a post somewhere that Jay had passed. My condolences my friend. It's an honor to carry out your quest for your friend. It makes me remember how Joseph took his father Jacob's body back to the land after he died and how Israel carried Joseph's bones back to the land when they left Egypt. May you be blessed in this. I know what you say about being hard to make videos but taking the time and effort to make them shows Gods beautiful creation to other people and inspires them to get up and away to explore for themselves. Sorry to hear about your friend, but remember, he is where we want to be some day. I really hope you will get out and make more videos this year.

Woods, man is it great to see you and Dude stomping around that beautiful Big Sky country again. Dude has the right idea, siesta in the shade! RIP to Jay. Thank you for sharing some of his story with us. I can tell his passing affects you deeply, Hopefully when you get his ashes to the top of that mountain it will bring some closure and peace to you. Also, I'd like to share with you, I'll (sorta) be out your way this coming October, going to fulfill a long time dream of doing a self guided rifle, Elk and Bear hunt in Colorado, just drew my tags for both. I'm finally going to get to experience that Great Out West. Take care of yourself my friend, looking forward to seeing more of your videos.

Thanks Mack your comment means a lot to this old woodsrunner!!! Thats great drawing a tag for Elk out west, i have never personally hunted in Colorado...but i know a self guided hunt requires a lot of research into the area your hunting. Be sure and hit the steepest hills you can find a full two months before your trip....I know your fit but the Rockies has a way of running a feller down....God bless amigo...USA!!!

Sorry to hear about Jay. That's nice that he was able to make it out to the mountains that one last time. In the past couple of years I've been hiking with, and scattering, my brother-in-law in a number of places high in Colorado. It was good to see you and the Dude! I hear ya about video creation..... I've been camping, hiking, backpacking, and climbing as much as I had been, but I just find it hard to get motivated to sit down to edit video that I have shot. Or I often just don't feel like doing all the shooting rigmarole in the first place when I'm out recharging in the outdoors. And of course there's the fact that I know that nobody wants to watch me do the same exact camping thing in the same ol' camping spots.
