I tried to hire a voice actor to narrate my books. I had several people interested, I could get a studio, but I could never get the stars to align. Believe, me I tried. ElevenLabs has been a godsend, but I had wondered if the voice actors got paid. Really glad they do.

He has that rush of wanting to create yet he’s also glad he doesn’t have to get out of bed. He sends his link to buyers who “can’t afford” him for a live session yet he loves the low budget “passive” income he earns. Mixed messaging in this promo. The truth is voice acting does lead to burnout and VAs should be paid for their voice and likeness, not their time. The fear isn’t about AI and its incredible capabilities which are wonderfully designed to relieve work stress on humans. The fear is that other humans will exploit other humans using their voice and likeness. A voice model’s cost should be comparable to a live session. Also, be careful of uploading past recording sessions and auditions because those performances are protected under copyright and NDA laws. Even if they are only using data points from the voice files, you are still sharing files you do not own the rights to share.

I'm sure all those voice actors doing all the jobs that this guy wasn't able to physically do before will be very happy when nobody is going to hire them. How can you release such a tone-deaf promo for your product?
