Elf Audios Koala Sampler App Toxic Community Exposed

In a turn of events. ‪@elfaudio‬ community (including employess) decided to post my video in a private group. Not to share it on a good faith but to bash it! So I wanted to exposed their behavior to the world. Instead of going back and forth. It gets deeper because KZbin content creator ‪@Weaverbeats‬ like to tell biased stories about me. So, these guys are in this together! There's more to this story but I wanted to focus on the problem at hand. I'm am not the bad guy here. Please don't support this company.

This! This is one of many reasons I have decade old KZbin channels and no new content. I left facebook over drama, I don't come here for it, but I listen. I bought the koala app after Ave's video reviewing it, then I watched this one, only to feel bad about supporting them, only to find out, it's people outside the development of the app. Some people "gravitate" towards drama, not even meaning to. If I don't fuck around and make content, I'll never find out if people are predominately cynical or supportive. I am both... I am so supportive of cynical people that don't support the agenda of the enemy. There is a spiritual battle for our souls, regardless of our beliefs. This is why I have become cynical about people that support counter productive products produced by companies slowly trying to enslave us, under their corporate thumbs. "You will own nothing and be happy." If you want to use your seat warmers to keep your pizza warm in your BMW, that will be a monthly subscription of $19.99 plus tax of course! I’m pretty sure the main person who works on Koala Sampler is Marek Bereza, considering he’s the persona credited on the app store and the main person who shows up in the elf audio yt channel. I thought it was more than fair and I learned some things about the Akai that I didn't know. To suggest that they are representative of elf audio is akin to saying that all your 128k subscribers represent you. I’m a big fan of koala and I love my Mpc one, there is plenty of room for both. Honestly when I saw your video, you made some good points and said some positive things about it, but overall it came off like you were generally being slightly dismissive, and the thumbnail of the vid had you looking skeptically at the app with your eyebrow raised. to call Elf Audio toxic because their users don't like you or agree with you on a forum is bonkers.. from what I gather Elf Audio is just one man... I've tried a lot of iPhone/iPad apps over the year (including Akai ones) and Koala is far, far more fun and impressive than pretty much any other I've seen. I'd 1000% recommend it to anyone especially new people wanting to get into beatmaking because a) they probably have a phone capable of running it already and b) it's $15 frickin dollars! I bet enough kids drop hundreds and hundreds of dollars on SP404s and MPCs etc before giving up for whatever reason

I don't think these were Elf Audio employees, but there is a bit of a sycophantic behavior in the Koala group. I don't think the main developer indulges into these sorts of situations, too. My gripe with the video is that it was slightly rushed, didn't look like you got into the full swing of things, but it wasn't particularly disparaging to the app as well. As someone who uses this app regularly, I do urge you to spend more time with it, because it's a good tool in specific situations. No need to shame anyone for their gear-preference either way, think that was a bit too far.

Broke people that can’t afford a MPC or tried a MPC will swear koala sound better than a MPC . I swore koala sounded better than anything on earth until I got a MPC and realized when you make a beat from scratch using drums and instruments from sound packs they come out thin . Take those exact drums and instruments use it on a MPC and they sound beefy high quality.

Sometimes we have to give ppl like Ave time to get to use it enough to use it at it's FULL potential. personally i dont really get into the beatmaking side of music, but i've always appreciated how straight up and genuinely intelligent you come off as compared to some people. it's really good to see someone with your level of maturity making an effort to set the standard by putting their foot down and deciding it's no longer enough to just let all the weird hate-mongering continue unchecked in the hope that it'll fizzle out(when quite often it doesn't). hopefully the mindset around all this crap will finally change at some point, and it wont be seen as petty or weak to defend yourself against something you know isn't right. the "i gave you exposure" argument is thrown around in a lot of disingenuous contexts, but in this case you did nothing but share and talk about a product you thought was cool. i had considered checking out Koala at some point based on what i'd heard about it, but... yeah, i definitely don't feel comfortable contributing to them right now- i'm much happier studying Redux and giving my money to companies i'm proud to support. best of luck to you, keep doing what you're doing!
