While the Elf shade range is smaller it looks like it might actually be more inclusive. It seems to go much darker. I did pick up the Elf because I wanted to try the CT, but I so rarely wear base products that I didn’t think it would be worth the coin. This actually has me very excited to try.

It’s annoying how companies get away with such a poor shade range for pale skin girls. I have the same problem with the new elf hydrating concealer, the lightest shade “fair rose“ is literally dark pink.

ELF basically had this product well over 10 years ago but it was called something else and it was in a squeeze tube for like $1 at some places. It was my favorite for a sheer all over glowy bronzed look when I didn't want a lot of coverage. The first time I tried Flawless Filter it was like deja vu

The elf looks very similar to the thicker consistency of the Auric GlowLust. *I would LOVE to see a comparison of the Elf to Auric Glowlust and to Maybelline 4-in-1 Perfector!* I got the Glowlust and I like the Morganite colour but I've really struggled with the product, it just hasn't worked as well and seamlessly as I had hoped.

I hope elf comes out with more shades. Lighter, darker and different undertones. I'm doubting the fair will be light enough to actually highlight me most of the year. It might right now since I've gotten a little sun and went up a couple foundation shades.

I’m sure they will but the fact elf has already 8 shades and Charlotte Tilbury has 12 shades and is only 4 shades off is truly impressive I’m sure elf will add some more shades later on

I completely agree! Charlotte tilbury's Flawless Filter, while great and worth the hype, was also not the most inclusive in terms of their shade and undertone range. However, I still appreciate how Elf's efforts in creating their current range compared to Charlotte Tilbury's, so Elf is definitely getting my money! 💕

@@meiselle I’m a be brutally honest everything from Charlotte Tilbury is not worth the money maybe her setting spray is worth the hype and money cuz $30 is standard price on the high end side of makeup but everything else is just overpriced, overrated & overhyped also I’m not a fan of her aesthetics yes it’s expensive looking cuz her brand is more high end but still she also targets her brand towards women especially women who already have perfect skin and it’s really misleading also her foundation, concealer, bronzer shade range is a joke like 30+ shades of foundation & 4 shades of cream bronzers is not enough I feel like brands never learned their lesson from miss RiRi with Fenty beauty who’s also now officially certified cruelty free as well with her shade range of foundation & concealer of 50 shades, 8-10 powder & cream bronzers, multiple cream blush shades etc. btw also I know a lot of people hate r.e.m beauty by Ariana Grande bc they think it’s cash grab but to me Kim Kardashians new skin care and in general her makeup brand screams true cash grab basically everything coming from the Kardashians screams true cash grab cuz Kim’s prices of skin is ridiculous cuz $99 for moisturizer wtf?! That’s just overpriced the house down also yesterday trend mood & Ariana Grande revealed her 4th launch/chapter that is coming next week she launches finally her own concealer and it’s 60 shades for just a concealer that’s just insane and impressive cuz that’s what I call a true shade range going from very light to very dark I’m just amazed by the shade range

@@jasmineloves2144 I’ve never tried her products actually and I’m 22 btw but in general her stuff is just too expensive it’s always around $40-60 and I definitely think the younger people like 12-20 years old can’t really afford such expensive high end makeup they can probably afford $20-50 high end makeup and even then most younger audience stick by drugstore anyway cuz that’s what they can afford but also people just hype up her stuff so incredibly unnecessary to the point where it feels like her stuff is the only good stuff but there’s also other more affordable brands who are killing it with good quality and formula

For my mature/dry skin, I'd have to choose the Elf, especially as a highlighter. I don't particularly like a metallic finish, I love a healthy glow and the Elf looks beautiful. That said, there was very little difference between the two products. It would be great if Elf came out with a lighter shade (0) to match the the light shade (1) of CT. In fact, a few more shades would be awesome. Love ya 💗🤟💗

I always find it interesting when we rage on celebrities who copy smaller brands products but we don’t do the same when ELF virtually copies CT flawless filter. I get that CT isn’t going to lose sleep over this or likely any money but I think we should hold all companies accountable when they aren’t original or basically dupe a product that exists. Also wonder where this product is made? CT products are made in Italy.

I preferred the bigger doefoot applicator on the elf one ! It’s for face not undereye concealer so the size should be bigger in my opinion. I also think it has just a bit more coverage but the price point difference is so awesome 👏🏼 soon as I heard about this I ordered from the app and got 10 bucks off cuz I had so many rewards 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤩🤩😎😎😇😇 I loveee this product

I use the CT as a subtle highlighter (I have oily skin so as a primer it's an absolute no-go). However because I use it only occasionally I have not wanted to purchase a new Flawless filter for some time, because it's so expensive. The Elf on the other hand is totally something I could get on-board with for the price and purposes I like to use this kind of product for. 🤩

I’ve been noticing with every new launch from ELF their prices are going higher and higher… Social Media has been wonderful for elf. Their popularity skyrocket through Instagram and TikTok High end dupe videos. ELF is a business just like any other. The more popular they’ve become the more they increase their prices… What was once a $3-4 dollar product is now an $8-$10 product… This last year we are now seeing products for $12-$14.. It’s disappointing but not surprising…🤷‍♀️

It does look like the elf side is just slightly less metallic that the CT side but the elf side is also giving a smoother finish it seems like maybe the extra metallic on the CT side is giving a little bit more texture

I have a hard time with drugstore dupes. I find the ingredients are not as nice as high end and the lasting power isn’t usually as good. Just my opinion! The Flawless filter is my holy grail. I mix it with the Dior airflash. People stop me on a weekly basis to compliment my skin.

I own most of Charlottes products and I’m a huge fan. I actually prefer the ELF to HFF. I wear it on top of my foundation. I feel that the ELF is slightly warmer than CT and has a smoother finish. I haven’t done an outside in the Southern heat and humidity test yet, but I use CT Flawless Setting Spray and it generally holds my product in place.

The elf has ingredients like squalane, hyaluronic acid, and lots of preservatives. Overall, it seems good for the skin except if you’re sensitive to wax, of which it has plenty of.

So many brands have tried to dupe this CT product with little success. They try but don’t quite get it right. But ELF always comes through!! I’m so glad they waited and got the formula right for it rather than just bring out something quickly and it not be the same. CT originally only came out with I think 3 or 4 shades. So it’s crept up since. At least ELF came out with a few to start with including deep shades-something CT didn’t even start with!
