2011 is why Eli should be a HoF lock. That bit about 31st ranked OL and dead last rushing attack means that Eli was the only reason we got anything going at all on offense all year.

@@Carchase-vl6yzJulian Edelman, who had 0 pro bowl or all pros, had only 3 seasons with 1000 or more receiving yards, and finished nowhere near the top 20 in any major receiving category should be a HOFer? To say Eli isn’t one is fine, because that’s your opinion, but to compare his case to Edelmans is ridiculous. They’re nowhere near the same stratosphere. You’re either a Pats fan who’s upset Eli took 2 of your rings away or just slow.

you also left out the very low ranked defense of that team as well. Eli carried that team that year, and the fact the Giants never seemed to put the talent around him after that alone should show that the Giants weren't successful again due to bad management. His numbers in the ladder half of his career was actually better then the first half but the lack of team success gets blamed on him by many. Just shows how many fans of football dont actually understand the game. The guy is a HOF'er to me, and the greatest QB to ever play for the giants, which is a huge accomplishment onto itself. Cheers Eli, and thanks for the memories.

Giving Cruz a clear path to the end zone. It's the kind of highlight that's much more entertaining with the Benny Hill Theme song playing in the background

This is quite interesting IMO. In the 2 years that Eli had playoff Championship games ('07 and ''11) he played good enough to help his team go 8-0 and 5 of those were away games including 2 away Conf. Champ. games. How did Eli play---he had 15 TD's and only 2 INT's. He had 5 games with a Rating OVER 100, Let's compare and contrast that with Dan Marino for example.

I think Eli is underrated primarily because he tried to play for too long. His last 4 or so years in the league were so abysmal, that many fans just remember him for that. Had he retired a few years earlier, I think he’s looked on more favorably by the average fan, and while he’s never going to be approaching top 10 arguments, I don’t think top 20 is too unreasonable.

The best part of this season was Eli outplaying perennially overrated choke artist, Tony Romo, twice for the Division title. Romo only produced when the team around him was loaded. In his PB and PO years ('06,'07, '09,'14) he had 33 Pro Bowlers and 9 All-Pros playing behind him. On the other hand, Eli carried this bad team to the POs and set multiple 4th Q records in the process. Dallas stans, I'll ignore all replies.

Luck is the only reason Eli is relevant he had that in both of his Super Bowl wins. His career was a joke other than those years.

Too bad Eli was never consistent. Multiple time NFL league leader in turnovers and interceptions to the other team for 6. Eli could never carry a below average/average team.

This is why Eli is better then Payton. Keep your 50 tds Payton you were a choker in big moments. Ints to lose playoff games and pick six to lose a SB. The only reason Payton has any rings is because Rex Grossman and Denver defense. I'll take clutch over meaningless stats any day
Daniel Jones conspiracy theory.
