Eli showed up but wasn't enough for Jett. Haiden Deegan overcame two bad starts to show the boys who Daddy is.

@@davidbiagi2932 he was a quad and sand section away from beating everyone including Jett straight up twice. He may not be at Jett’s level all the time but for a 31 year old vet he is de Fr the guy still. Remember how reed was doin at 31 years old?

That quad going away late in moto for Eli was clutch for Jett. Eli still trying to reach his best after 90 wins is incredible for the sport and his legacy.

​@@dyliver7806no if Tomac was able to still do the quad I think he'd have held the gap. He made up quite a few bike links every time in that section. It wasn't until he wasn't able to do it that the gap started coming down. He was losing a bit in the sand section but only in the first half of the sand. But that's racing! So glad we get to see Tomac one more time and looking like he's going for it.

Anybody who watched Deegan in his amatuer days and saw him come from last to win like mini o's 2022 knows that Deegan knows how to pass people and more importantly how to set them up to be passed.

Um, nah. That's one storyline. An equal storyline was Tomic going 1-2, along with a third equal storyline of Jett going 2-1 on his first ride back from injury. Each was bloody impressive. Equally.

I think Jett had a game plan for Moto 1, feel it out, take what’s given, and knock the rust off. Don’t take any chances etc. Moto 2 you can see him doing the same and when he felt comfortable enough he turned up to win.

Eli's awesome but this was probably the best performance for him until SX unless the other tracks are so fast. Hopefully we'll get some more technical tracks. Happy to see him back and feeling confident. Jett is a problem for the field. He's too god damn good. Rooting for kitchen in 250s. Ride or die.

With the track drying out the scoop tire Tomac ran bit him as he couldn't get traction in that rhythm lane to do the quad and his rhythm was messed up after that trying to get the other rhythm. It will be entertaining if those 2 with Chase all battle up front in the next 2 rounds.

I have been hearing people say that Jett let Eli win the first race. And I call BS on that Eli ram hard and ran away with it. Jett did fight harder on the second one but remember Eli has not had much time on the bike and Jett was not gone very long. It really gave Jett some nice time off the bike and he is better now than if he had not had time off. Hunter is just burned out he gave it his all rookie year and he is spent

It was Jett's first race back and he was just feeling it out in moto 1. Moto 2 he passed Eli as soon as he decided he wanted to and then maintained a comfortable gap until the end. He did exactly what was needed to win on his first race back from injury.
