to this day I think this is the fastest anyone has ever ridden a 450 at hangtown... this was Tomac's peak right before he blew out his shoulders in rd3 and while he's still as fast today, maybe faster, this was different. That level of pure confidence , that body language, nobody was going to beat Tomac this day and even he knew it.
@seaeff64283 жыл бұрын
Are you serious? Fastest anyone has ever ridden at hangtown?...... um you think? It’s not close. This was way above herlings, Cairoli. This was above RC shit. Those 2.5 rounds in 2015 may have been the most on point anyone had ever been on a motorcycle. Ryan Dungey is one of the best outdoor riders of all time. 2nd in all time wins in the premier class tied for second most titles. Eli beat him by 90 seconds. Eli’s seconds time last lap was 4/10ths faster than Ryan’s first. Eli is a nutcase.

He wouldn't of been beaten that year if he didn't have that crash 100%. Was on a completely different level to anyone else. Hadnt seen that sort of speed since Villopoto in the 2007 Des Nations

This was by far the most dominant anyone had ever been on a bike. Not even close. Eli tomac is an extremely underrated rider. If he retired Tomorrow he’s one of the best ever especially outdoors.

I wonder how the future would have been if Stewart never left Kawasaki and Eli never left Honda (disregarding details like whether it was the teams decision or the rider, just hypothetical).
@seaeff64283 жыл бұрын
@@snowzZzZz if stew never left kawi? Idk that’s a tough one because idk if the still sign RV or not. So who knows really? Tomac situation is different because he left Geico Honda which is different than the HRC team and geico never had a 450 after that. I don’t think him staying on Geico was ever really a possibility long term. Look as reed though. He went from Yamaha to Suzuki to Kawasaki to starting twotwo in 4 years and he ended up being Honda’s top dog in 2011 after trey and Ivan were out. He’s literally ridden every brand aside from gas gas.

He was on rails until that Thunder Valley vicious crash. I think that knocked the fearless out of him for a couple of seasons. He still was able to put together wins, but I don't recall him looking that fast until this past season.

@@DouweEgbert Herlings is a great rider, but he gets hurt pretty much every season, and if the GP's wasn't such a long championship he would have lost even more championships because of it... He's kind of like how James Stewart was, he will win championships and be super fast at times, but he will probably never get the number of championships everyone expects him to get. He can show up and beat Tomac and Roczen on the final round, but both those riders have won more championships than him, which is what counts at the end.
@DouweEgbert4 жыл бұрын
ELIAS VALDES RUIZ oh really , Herlings has more titles as Tomac and Roczen ... world titles it is , if we count nationals Herlings has more as the two of them combined ... imagine he would never have been injured in past ... ? who would have beat a healthy fit Herlings ? Not Tomac and not Roczen ... funny you mention Roczen , he is been injured even more as Herlings ✌🏻 injured or not , fact is Herlings at moment is FMOTP ... no doubt , as Tomac
@eliasvaldes824 жыл бұрын
@@DouweEgbert lmao my whole point is that he's fast but gets injured too much, therefore he most likely will not win as many championships as people think, and your response is "imagine how many championships he would have if he wasn't injured"? Also get your facts straight. Tomac has won 4 national titles: 1 in 250cc and 3 straight in 450cc. Roczen has won 2 national titles and 1 world title in which he beat Herlings: 1 in 250cc and 2 in 450 cc. All this is without counting 1 supercross title in 250cc from each of them. You are saying Herlings has won more than both of them combined?? You are either really bad at math or just a casual fan who only watches the mxgp series and trashes the american series. Not even worth listening to you
