I’ve always been a big ET3 fan and I’m glad you guys brought him on so more fans can see the side of him that doesn’t have a place to come through with the broadcast format. So many guys racing right now that I’m a fan of like Baggett, roczen, CR22 of course, Webb, Osborne. So stacked and really hope we can get some more personality to one through instead of scripted robot that seems to be what the teams are telling their guys to be in front of the camera

Eli doesn't get up slow, hes just efficient at it. Example; The other guys fall, get up and stutter step...then take a step in the wrong direction, quickly shuffle their feet, then stutter step to their bike. Eli falls, knows where his bike is, get up with his feet under him and urgently get to his bike. One fluid motion, looks slower.
@Boots67
@Boots67 5 жыл бұрын
Being taller I've been accused of not hustling a few times, when I really was. I noticed the small guys would be slower, but look faster with their frantic shuffle and fast arm movements. I employed this technique and would get "way to hustle" from coaches

You should go watch his crashes, time how long it takes from the time he gets up and it going again. Your wrong on your opinion, he’s extremely slow to get back in the race. There’s reasons and I wouldn’t ever talk about them because it was a tragic thing that happened to one of his best friends that got up n ran to the bike without looking but he still is very cautious on his way back to his bike. Smart or to safe only he can tell u when the punishment is clearly a hard thing to come back from and still get a result but either way it’s frustrating. He’s a hard racer but gives up a little after a mistake, or he just takes so much time he gets back on already in that mind set it’s over and he’s got no reason to push back if he can’t win. Points are points. I wish he would go get the most he can every night and be on it whatever the situation is!!

Eli is misunderstood by fans I feel. But it’s only because he comes across socially awkward that’s all. I think the dudes great and no doubt when he is on he is unbeatable that includes Herlings! I would have asked him about the second moto in Jacksonville because he smoked everyone first moto by 30 seconds.
@DouweEgbert
@DouweEgbert 5 жыл бұрын
because first moto he had holeshot and Herlings had to come from outside top 10 , second moto they had similar top 5 starts and Tomac had nothing for Herlings ... its not science dude , go watch race again .. you looking for excuses for moto2 , as he got beaten straight up ... lol ... Herligs has his number , just faster ... Tomac can win , but he wuld ened a bad start or crash from Herling s ..last 2 year showed , and i hope Helrings comes over for a full AMA outdoor and show it again and shut up all doubters still looking for excuses

Compare Tomac v Herlings as a ratio of time spent training for MX: Herlings 100%, Tomac 30%. If Herlings/MXGP is so amazing, they should not have split motos. Tomac shouldn't have been on the podium. Herlings is the lesser man, self-admitted that he's terrified of whoops.
@eliasvaldes82
@eliasvaldes82 5 жыл бұрын
@@DouweEgbert What's with all the anger? No one is looking for excuses, just pointing out facts... If Herlings is so unbelievable and so much faster than Tomac, shouldn't both him and Cairoli have caught him and smoked him anyways? I'm a big fan of both Herlings and Tomac, but you Herlings fanboys need to take it down a notch... Yes, he's beat the americans a couple times, but it's also gone the other way around. Remember Anderson at the mxon in Italy? They're all really fast riders, just shut up and enjoy the racing.

Eli needed this interview and I appreciate it fellas I really do.. And I also appreciate you bringing up him getting up slow after crashes or even small tip overs.. That has always bothered me.. : 0) I think him and Roczen both know that it is about championship and not about number of races won.. I think Eli is sitting good and is running on reserves.. Roczen will not be a 100% but can still be a solid top 3. But I will say second half of this season if Eli and Roczen are close at the end.. Eli will park Roczen's ass.. Roczen is still a fragile guy.. I like him and whoever wins this year will deserve it.. But both Roczen and Eli are not running at a 100% yet for sure.. Marv is a solid 2nd place rider for 2 seasons.. He doesn't fall often and he isn't backing it down becaue he doesn't really implode really.. I think that has a lot to do with him now looking so fast.. He is riding his ability of while Eli and Roczen aren't.. Good sense so far for smart riding from all the top guys.. And once again, Thanks fellas for putting this together.. I enjoyed Emig the other day as well.. Keep them coming fellas.. !! Much appreciated..

@@DouweEgbert It was a desperation pass. It looked like Reed TRYING to pass Stewart back in the day because he knew he wasn't fast enough to run his pace. And to be honest. I don't think you would have heard a word out of him about it ever if he wasn't asked. Eli is way more aggressive rider if he wants to be and able to keep it up on two in the process. He is really a lot like Stewart in that sense, he's fast enough that he doesn't have to ride dirty. It's the slower ones that often are the ones that have to make passes like that on them. LIKE Marv. on Eli and back in the day Reed on Stewart. It's that, I can't run there pace so I have to do something. That's the reality of it.

He keeps to himself because that's how some of us are, but he's always nice, treats people well, and above all of that, he's honestly one of the most enjoyable riders to watch EVER. that includes MC, RC and Stew. Towards the end when GL said top 25 in the sport. Hes way higher than that by the numbers alone he's the 3rd most success premier class MX rider behind RC and RD tied with bob Hannah. Hes 6th on the all time Ama win list. 5th in SX wins. I know he's won a lot since this but still he is way underrated.
