Yep, germination does not just depend on temperature (and sometimes light levels.) Humidity is also important, too.

Those are all brilliant ideas, many of which I use myself all the time. We are also Victorinox 'Mountaineer' Swiss Army twins! So useful. I have a potting tray and have not used it yet. And I think the reason is as simple as it's placed at the far end of the staging in the greenhouse, and when there's a lot of plants in there (which is usually), I just can't get to it! I need to move it so that it's at the end by the door.

Good ideas can I ask a question ? With regards to fungus fly's does cinnamon get rid of them or is it a myth.
@eliandkate4 ай бұрын
hmmmm it's not a simple one Norman. Scientific studies have found that cinnamon has all sorts of great properties to help prevent fungus and mould and disease, but... that was in a lab with the perfect varieties of cinnamon and they were very fresh and contained the optimum amount of the properties that were effective. In the real world... it's a bit hit and miss because you can't guarantee the cinnamon will have enough of those properties. So some folk have success others don't.
