Eliminating Broomsedge With Phosphorus

We have reserved a pasture for the past 5 years just for this purpose. It is known as the experimental pasture and we show here just how one small change can make a huge difference. We never want to apply any type of synthetic fertilizers, but at times you have to break the foundational rules to get to the next step. Phosphorus was applied WITH the lime, put in a spreader and mixed in for an even application.

Very few farmers who have historically put out a lot of Phos.. need to continue putting out Phos. Phos like Magnesium is limited by lack of biology. Put out biology that make it bio available and save yourself the money on a product that will run out in the next 30 years

I totally agree with you, the lime as well as chicken and turkey litter is great for your Ph soil health . We have a broomsage problem and that is how we control and in many cases it disappeared .

Where did you get your phosphorus and how much would you recommend on about 8 acres. We have a bunch of the Broomsedge and we used lime and it did help but still have plenty of it. I’m gonna do a new soil test also but haven’t got the results back yet. Just curious to what you think. We enjoy your videos very much.
