Its been almost 2 years since I first watched this series and its almost 4 months until I begin my journey on the PCT. This was the spark that set off my interest in the trail. I've now read dozens of books and watched countless videos but its about to become a reality. Thank you for opening a new chapter of my life. I can't wait to see how its written.

"It is the People" popped up in my recommended feed today after I was looking up winter camping videos yesterday (it's almost that time of year again), ended up watching the prologue, and wow Chapter 1 drops within like 30min of that, love it! I'm enjoy the videos, good aesthetic all around. Also nice to have it in bite-sized pieces rather than some intimidating 50min colossus.

Elina, As you have probably realised by now, you have all the ingredients for KZbin success, stardom and self support. You have come out of the gate and intuitively mastered all 7 or so critical aspects for wide appeal. 1. Relatable charisma #1 ingredient - you have it in abundance 2. Topic that target audience cares about. 3. Thumbnail intriguing and easy to understand at a glance. 4. Title that grabs attention and is accurate to content. 5. Picture and sound quality excellent 6. Music that lifts 7. Edit that keeps you engaged on a rolling 15 sec basis ... I could go on. Well done. I will enjoy watching your meteoric rise on KZbin. You Go Girl. Regards, Blue Boy Brenden

Here I am 3 years later re watching this series for the 5th time. It’s still a goal to hike the PCT & watching this just makes me double down on the idea that I CAN do this and it won’t be easy but it’s be soooo worth it :’)

Love this! Can’t wait to watch every ‘episode’. You bring a unique view and commentary about a trail I have not hiked (yet). You are an artist with your photos and videos. So much originality in your perspective. Thank you so much for putting all this together. 🙏👍❤️

I think you are setting a precedent as to how these videos will be created in the future Elina. This could be a template for all others to follow. Such is the popularity that viewers are immediately drawn in and taken on a journey full of colourful emotions of highs and lows. A lot of thought and hard work has definitely gone into each of these instalments with a thought process that eventuated well in advance as a "mindful seed" imho. Please never stop challenging yourself.

The comment about the relationship with food is so accurate! Crave junk food when in town then when back out hiking all you want is fresh vegetables. So so true 👌

If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be on KZbin binging on many other hiking videos of yours and of other creators. My curiosity for the outside and of nature and of why we love those beautiful sceneries shown in your video, has astoundingly increased. And I thank you for having discovered this whole new journey in my path of life.

Makes me miss SoCal. I grew up on what would become the completed PCT (final section completed in 1993). I don't live in CA anymore, and don't have a desire to move back, but watching your PCT series makes me long for those trails again. I have a scout in my troop (I'm a Scoutmaster now) that is prepping for a PCT hike next year. I may have to take some time, grab another adult or two and some scouts, and meet him in the Sierras to do a section or two. Such an amazing trail.

How can the whole hitching be odd for a Kiwi. Back in the late 70's early 80's every summer, your winter, every one of my college years, I hitched through the South Island and skied for the season. It was marvelous! And as your other video states, Its The People. BTW Your videos are smashing, brilliant, and spot on.

Elina you did such a great job with this film. My guess is you don't necessarily want this to become a "backpacking" channel, but hopefully you will continue to share you are creations with us! watching this a second time. you can see her personality and demeanor change a bit from the first part of the trial to the end. She learned and grew a lot over those 4 months.

@@myhokori358 I hiked the PCT in 2021 and the trail itself was much easier than the AT. I thought the PCT was much tougher mentally. Whatever challenges I faced personally, it was all worth it. The beauty of the PCT is world class and the trail community is amazing.
