This episode had more of that lightheartedness that I loved so much in the PTC series. One of my favourite TA episodes yet!

Each chapter feels like getting another Christmas present or maybe finding a special Easter egg. I love how each episode feels so unique yet still part of a continuity. Thank you for the beautiful vistas. And thank you for all of the work, the thoughtful efforts you put into every minute. Like your PCT adventures I know I’ll watch these more than once.🦋

This is hands-down one of the BEST series on youtube and it's making me miss my home in NZ so much! You've captured the raw beauty of our little slice of paradise so well and it's making me appreciate the beauty the place has. You've even inspired me to explore my own backyard when I get back this coming summer... maybe not tackling TA first as I'm not a seasoned hiker but it's certainly something I want to work towards one day.

Elina, your videos are such a piece of art. I don't watch them as youtube clips, but as a movie that absorbs me completely. I switch to full screen, lean back and dig into the images, the atmosphere, the people. You are a great storyteller and I wanna thank you to share all those intimate moments with your audience. Keep doing what you are made for!

First lesson - Richmond Range and Nelson Lakes absolutely teaming with wasps in mid summer. I avoid tramping there at that time, or head straight for the tops to get out of range!

Shit, I dunno mate, I've been tramping and trapping in this area for yonks and have never had a wasp sting. I assume those dudes were buggered and not that alert? Spaghetti is a very low-value food, and the dehydrated packages are of insufficient calorific and nutritional (protein) value for 84kg me. I suggest brown rice and lentils soaked in a screw top polycarbonate jar during the day then brought to the boil at day end, simmered for 15 minutes at a very very low heat with the lid on (a tea light candle is sufficient to simmer once it's brought to the boil) and then add your seasoning or fish etc after all the water has been absorbed. A kg of each will last you at least a week including breakfast made of leftover dinner.
