Bit off topic, but I saved that neinei tree at 19:50 from the chainsaw when we were building the hut a few years ago 😂 I've seen it in a few photos now, so I'm low key stoked.

Speaking of suspense… there was an episode on your PCT docuseries when you were in the Sierras and you said “I’m not ready to talk about it” and ever since then I’ve been wondering what I’m the world transpired. You left us hanging, Elina, and I haven’t forgotten!

I'm always blue when the video ends. You are a very talented story teller. You have this medium nailed - whether it's the choice of music to set the mood, playing with speed, colour grade, and cuts...I'm always drawn in to the story.

it beautiful that you can just walk away from your things and they still be there when you return. It reminds me of when i was in Okinawa. I left my wallet in a restaurant. i returned after 4 hours and it was in the the exact same place, same orientation, everything. It had never been touched. no one had even considered touching it. When you crossed the little border/region and the lotr re-enactment, put such a big smile on my face! the pure joy and friendship in that small little section of clips was so powerful and so beautifully portrayed. I think it encapsulated perfectly the connection between yourself and the people you meet on trial, or travelling in general. cant wait for the next !

Howdy Tip-tap! Your comment that 1 Day on the trail is like a week in the 'real world' resonated and reminded me of how it was. It had you wondering which world was real...this or that. Whichever you choose. I can see now the trail does change us, spoils us for the life that was and can never be the same. I look forward to further chapters, thanks for capturing your journey.
