It is time to do some bodywork. Not a lot, just where the panels meet so we make sure every panel matches the next one. Also where there were repairs like the doors and valances

Hi Elin, greetings from the UK. You are doing a great job, lots of attention to detail. Also, you must be just the nicest guy on KZbin. Keep them coming.

I have trouble keeping track of the Rusty Beauties. Is this your car, or a customer’s?
@RustyBeauties3 жыл бұрын
It is a shop project. Just a filler for the times we are not very busy

OK, a little easier to watch than paint drying, but not by much. God only knows how bad all these fits were coming out of the factory. I owned two new GT-6's in 1968 and 1970 and never noticed anything out of line on them, but the carpets faded out after one year in the sun.

Hey Elin! How do you keep the metal from flash rusting?
@RustyBeauties3 жыл бұрын
I don’t. It is pretty dry in the shop.

Are you going to use body joint compound on final assembly. All gaps more or less disappear but of course prior to final painting. Really enjoy your videos and explaining of best techniques.
@RustyBeauties3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I will use something on the seams. Well, the gaps disappear, but if the lines are not straight or don't match it looks really bad. It is worth the little extra work.

That was done over a few days :) I just sped it up for the video. It is not the most exciting work for watching :)
