It’s a fantastic blessing to have a better audio/video of Mr Fisk playing the 3rd cello suite. I saw him live in Boston recently performing a similar program including the Bach, but I don’t think there was a decent quality video of him playing the full suite before this one. Thank you so much for posting this! I love his thoughts about Bach’s creative openness, as opposed to sternness, that he explains in the beginning of the video.

He always tries to play unnecessarily too fast, overspeeding, and he makes so many wrong notes, many broken notes, and many unclear notes. His expression is overdramatic and too nervous. His tone is too rough, unnecessarily loud, lacking delicacy and clarity. It's very tiresome to watch him play. An artless performance.

Yamandu Costa plays at extremely fast speed but every detail is always accurate, clear, clean, with sensible expression in every phrase, every note.
