ELISA is a miniature proton accelerator that is currently used for performing archaeological studies. It will soon be used in demonstrations and hands-on exercises at CERN's Science Gateway.

@@Crawsome_Crustacean No. That’s not necessarily expertise or mission of CERN. Like the department of education for example. The government departments in particular that teach children & young teens for about 12 years…

@@Heedy5k Just because it’s not CERN’s focus doesn’t mean that they are not interested. A massive scientific community would understand that education is important, which is why they have a beamline for schools program at all, which was the focus of my original comment. I suggest you actually take a look at the beamline program posted on CERN’s website for details, and proof that they do care.

@@universemeta7817 almost guaranteed. Although this term isn’t used in physics, but this is extremely possible according to natural laws of physics(physical law of nature) with the type of experiments they’re conducting at CERN.

I guess there will be a lot of damaged buildings and infrastructure. And no there were no black holes produced as far as we know. We have searched for them in our detectors and unfortinately didn't find any black holes that were produced in the collisions at the LHC.

@@herrhorizontal black holes already exist yet there’s no damaged infrastructure. You underestimate scientists ability to test black holes in a controlled environment. Less than 100 years ago, most people believed that exploring the moon was science fiction. Yet here we are today with multiple flags planted.
