I am not raised in a Christian family but the Lord is using Godly women around me including Elisabeth Elliot whom I met through book to teach me how to do it the Godly way. Thank you for preparing me to the things I am praying Lord.🙏💓

May the Lord bless your desire to follow his ways! If it is a help, I recommend also the ministry Revive Our Hearts (which followed Elisabeth Elliot's radio ministry when she retired) and the author Pat Ennis also. She is heavily influenced by Mrs. Elliott.

@@supermodeljaz6829 💞 Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. To even be in the book of life You have to saved/born again. And the word says God can take out Your name, which means You are not longer saved. Repent or perish. Revelation 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Philipians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

But I want to sing: "Jesus Loves Me." Well, my father took the opportunity to point out that it's no good praising the Lord, if you're being disobedient to your mother. To obey is better than sacrifice. --- WOAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonderfully said.

My niece is 4 years old and so incredibly spoiled. It isn't realistic for a 4 year old to always be mature, however my children were well behaved at that age and here is why- Parenting. My sister doesn't do it. She sits them in front of a screen and goes to work (which is virtual for now). She thinks she's a great parent because she buys them things. I noticed that children with the most amazing toys are missing out on LOVE & DICIPLINE. I reminds me of Mary and Colin in The Secret Garden. They had everything except love and discipline yet Martha's mother was so intriguing to them. How can a poor family be so happy? A mother who disciplines and loves her her children, and most importantly is available to her children makes a happy home. Women have left the home for corporate world. This is the problem.

I sort of do. My ex-husband called himself a Christian...played the music to and from church every Sunday...managed not to curse in church service but for the rest of the week this was not the case. Obviously my marriage didn't end well. But that's not to say yours won't. I would highly suggest you seek out Christian counseling at your church. Try to live your life as close to Jesus as possible. You might be able to win him over without words. I hope he is a loving husband and not abusive to you even if he is not Christian. Remember God sees your heart and He sees your husband's heart. How you respond to your husband will be what you answer for...not what your husband does (now, by no means do I mean this to say you should allow abuse if that is happening!). For instance, if he is lazy and you feel you are picking up all the house work and child rearing slack I know the anger can get to you. But remember you work for God, not your husband. God sees your work. It's not in vain. God bless.

Thank you for saying this. Sometimes I don't know how much longer I can do this, but I keep pushing forward. There is abuse, not physical, but verbal. I have to remember that I am a daughter of God and that Heavenly Father is looking out for me@@Kra-ri6fd

I raised two boys...one is 18 and one is 16 years old. They are a handful. But I had asked God for boys when I was younger and that's what He gave me. I am 5 and a half months pregnant with a little girl now. My husband and I are older this time around so we are only planning on this one. It's like starting all over again. All the baby clothes and toys are gone so we are buying all new stuff. But I do hope a girl is easier...I don't have the energy I had before lol (I'll I'll 40 when she's born, Lord willing). I asked God for a girl this time and He gave us a girl. I didn't know how to be a lady when my boys were young but I do now and I'm so excited to teach a girl these things.

U don't need to put toys away. Let children play with toys, let them experiment. Also leave what children made with toys today there, they might want to continue with their project next day. Don't suppress children by telling them daily to "put toys away". Seriously. Leave them in their playroom do what they want to do.

God loves you so much that He sent His Holy Son Jesus from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins, and to be put into a tomb 3 days and rise from the dead the third day, and He (Jesus) went back up to heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and immoral persons & sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?

It is out of love, that you teach your children to stop and return to you, when you yell "stop, come here!", because someday they may be running toward traffic. Likewise, until we are wise, it is better to follow God's law out of a healthy fear of God, than to do whatever we want

While Ms. Elliott is a very good speaker. It is Jesus Christ that writes His words in our hearts. It is Jesus Christ who takes our heart of stone and gives us a heart of flesh. It is Jesus Christ who makes all things new. It is Jesus Christ who sets us free with His truth. She is only repeating the word of God. You can read it for yourselves right in the bible. Please ladies I encourage you all to let the Father teach you. Teach your children all that He says. Teach your grandchildren all that He says. Feast upon His word. In Deuteronomy 6 we read: "... you should listen and be careful to do it..." "These words... shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons (and daughters I'm sure) and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up." "Bind them ... on your hand ... on your forehead." (Sound familiar? Rev. 13:16 Satan is going to copy this with his people) Likewise, everyone in Christ is to be "likeminded" (Sound familiar? Rev. 17:13 we read that "These have one mind .." Satan is also going to copy this with his people). You can learn so much more and see how the bible has a golden thread from Gensis through Revelation. You'll be amazed at how the Old and New Testament work together to tell the great things of God. You can hear Him speaking to you. He warned us that we are to "See to it that no one misleads us." So, the only way you can do that is to dig in and feast upon His words. Let Him take you on a journey so you grow in the knowledge and wisdom of God. God bless you all!

This video is very close to my aspirations while raising my daughter during marriage and after divorce. For young parents raising raising little children nowadays, this is wisdom. I had been trained by my mother. Being her oldest daughter, I was up at 5:30. In my on child rearing, I was up at 6:00. Maintaining a clean household has never been a problem for me. Many young mothers are on task daily. Having learned within family, or taking the advice of other more experienced parents, such as we have from this inspiring Mother and grandmother, Mrs. Elliot.

This is very much what is missing in today's society. There has been such a decline from good moral standards and a destroying of the family unit. Sin has eroded and ate away at decency, unity, stability, Man has turned their back on God, the result, a deepening spiritual darkness. If you remove God from a society this is what happens. Dear Lord we pray for a holy revival once again in these days that things would be turned around again for your glory.

Amen, so many parents have lost the art of having authority over their children. I see it so much especially with little kids. Doing whatever they want, most of the kids are either raised by single mothers or parents who do not know the Lord. You see a difference in parents, who train their child to obey the Lord, Parents who are their child's friend, and let them do whatever they want. I'm not a mother yet, but hopefully soon God has been working on my heart. Right now I'm married to a God fearing man, I'm a homemaker Learning how to be submissive. Which has been very challenging, especially since I didn't see my mother submit to my father, infact it was quit the opposite. My husband and I want to raise our children the way the Lord intended. We have already discussed parenting and rules we wil have. In a generation, where gentle parenting is popular, yet not effective. Many parents are thinking they have no authority anymore. They have to explain everything to their child. It's so sad too see parents do this. You see how the child dose not respect their parents and they never will. Some parents do gentle parenting because the parenting they grew up with was abuse. There's a difference between abuse and authority over your child. The roles of the family include: The Husband Submitting to Christ and loving his wife and children. The wife being submissive to Christ and her earthly husband., The children being obident to Christ and their parents. We can't do this without Christ I strongly believe if you don't have Christ you cannot show your children what's right and wrong. Since you yourself do not know your a sinner. Your not aware that you are not right with God. We need Jesus to love and be godly parents. Without him we can't have peace. So many parents yell and scream at their children and call them horrible names. Most of them don't know Christ I've seen Christian parents act that way too. We need christ every second we ourselves have to be obedient to him too. I can't wait to be a mother right now I'm in a waiting season. I pray that God would help all the future mothers and mothers. To have a peaceful home to disciple their children and raise them to love the Lord.

So happy this came up in my recommendations. I've listened to Elisabeth Elliot on the radio as a young mother, but have never seen her. I was so sad that she had to retire from the radio. I bought a few tapes and other things that she taught in. She is a treasure. But, her message is the real treasure. I don't think we agree on church doctrine, but home subjects, she has taught me so much good. Thanks for posting this -- five years ago.

I’m not married, just learning how to become a godly woman before committing to a marriage. I wasn’t growing up with my parents. Obviously my room is not organised (even now) and there are no orders. I believe that it is not too late to be obedient, discipline myself! So great to get to know Elizabeth E, she is my spiritual mother.

Thank you for this. I didn't grow up in a Christian home, but it was indeed orderly and peaceful to the degree a secular home can be. The Christian part I got from a neighbor who looked after me when my parents went to work. I agree, the position of a mother is holy, and maybe that's why it is under attack. Today, being a mom is extremely hard. The school is teaching dangerous doctrines, children learn from their devices and peers, many are diagnosed with various disorders and disobedient, there is an increasing, uninvited governmental involvement in family life, and godly parenting is quite rare, even looked down upon, as parental authority is regarded as abusive.

Absolutely! My biggest deal breaker for a man is if I cannot see myself respecting him as the leader of our potential family. If that's not the case, any other good qualities he may have won't matter!

The little boy was begging his mommy and daddy to discipline him. This is very painful to witness when the parents are not capable.
