Damn, McCartney is coming on faster than Emma Navarro!! What a beautifully poised game she has; strong, consistent serve, gliding to the ball with ease, and hitting some stunning winners on the move. Another late-blooming product of American college tennis, a la Collins and Navarro before her. Very scary how far she has come in less than a year. Go, MK. Best of luck in AO!

She’s my pick for one to upset some top player at the AO and to be top 20 by the end of the season

Two years in a row Elise Mertens lost in Hobart final to the American opponent. Both in three sets.

She has been a major Hobart player, though. Elise is one of the most consistent players on tour. Always a threat to win. Solid game!

Kessler a evolucionado mucho , cuando la veía en Challengers (125) o itf veía que lo que le faltaba era la toma de decisiones sin especular y la cabeza, acá en esta semana se han vistos muchos avances en eso.

Mertens is a good player to watch. Unfortunately there has been minimal improvement in her singles game over the last few years.

Two years in a row that Mertens lose to a promising American university player. Nice effort Elise, you made Belgium proud once again. I'll have an eye on Kessler in AO, she seems promising.

I've subscribed and really appreciate these highlights. But, a few words of advice: Most of the viewers are probably present or former competitive tennis players or serious fans. What we want to know is how a match was won or lost. We don't need to see the longest points, or the flashiest/trick shots. If you only have a few minutes of highlights per match, then please just show the successful break points and the last four points of a tie-breaker (if any). If there is a deciding-set tie breaker, then just show that in entirety and skip the previous content. Thanks again.

How disappointing from Mertens who was on her way to the top several years ago

She got to the final, that's a good effort

Though the same. But last set 6:0 🙃 then I looked at Merten's double faults but its ok.

Never heard of McCartney is she the future?
@sportsmediaamerica24 күн бұрын
Yes, but she is already 25 and won her first tourney in Cleveland last year in the run-up to the US Open. College girl from U of Florida, then on to ITF tourneys and debuted in WTA in '24. Got a quiet but big, game!

GO GATORS!! I need her to take over Danielle Collins as the next best NCAA turned Pro player ASAP. Both alums of UF (Collins left UF to Virginia after freshman) fun fact.
@zweigackroyd730124 күн бұрын
Let's face it, Collins is a Virginia alumna. 🙂 It's nice to see college players do well. Collins' story is especially impressive, the vast majority of tennis players come from upper middle class or rich families.
