Not sure where you’re based in uk, but here in London British Heart Foundation has a separate shops for large items of furniture. I too don’t look at sizes 😂when I go into charity shops, great haul

I live in a small town in UK nearly all our shops are charity/second hand stores and we have a couple of large furniture ones. We just don't call them thrift shops.

@@vicm7870 Well sadly where I live there aren’t any big shops locally, just small charity shops. It’s a real bummer as a lot of people would use them. Too many people on the bread line that don’t have the right facilities in situ to even survive now. I know of two families who would benefit from a good sized thrift shop locally. Neither family has a vehicle either which in this day is unheard of. Sad but true. Too many people with small businesses that charge exorbitant prices for secondhand goods they got for next to nothing on house clearances around here.

My mom's side of my family are Danish (fra Hals) and finally visited Denmark (as an adult in 50s) for the first time to spend time with family/friends. Odense is a charming place as we went there 1 day. I did shop and BUY some great treasures in the thrift stores in Viborg!! Great fun and a wonderful time i Danmark!

Dak. and then she came out here and married Grandpa. So, loving my Grandmother so much spent so time with her and absorbed all I could about her childhood. I love how denmark has sooooo many interesting furniture and other pieces on the thrifting shops. I wish my country had some with affordable prices. The ones we have in Montreal are pricey and mostly not in great condition

I think when there is only one boot on display you ask for the other if you want to buy them, they have it behind the counter usually. Maybe a sort of theft prevention? They do the same thing here in the states.

My favourite thing on days off is to go thrift shopping. The prices have gone up a lot and not many bargains. Mainly I buy books, kitchenware and cottage type decor. Maybe mount that little cabinet on the wall so you can use the little kitchen table as a small desk, green painted would look nice🤗

I’m from the US and don’t use a measurement of meters in my everyday home life BUT at work, each day, I use meters in a source document. 6Minute Walk Test. It’s still odd to me though. Hearing Elise speak of meters made me feel good that I actually understood how far she moved in a couple of minutes in Traffic.

The BIRD is a woodpigeon, he is either building his nest, or since he has two twigs in his mouth he is looking for his love. The males build a nest then they put two twigs in their mouth and present them to the female and bow, if the female accepts them then she and the male are officially married. so cute. I love woodpigeons they are good friends. They love nuts put into tiny pieces to munch on. They are super friendly, but always respect them and look out for them from a distance guys as they are wild birds and deserve to live a happy life. 🐥🐥🌻🌻🌸🌸

I love the chair. I was surprised you didn’t get the embroidered stool at the first shop. It was so pretty. I enjoy seeing how your thrift stores differ from the ones in the US.
