Hello, Commander. I've got a few more tips for you from this video. First, I don't know why the exclusion-zone for stars line doesn't always show up or vanishes. Worse, that kind of star you jumped to has a very large exclusion zone. Picking the right direction to go to avoid the star is always a split-second decision in Elite lol, but you'll get it. Btw, I recommend saving up for the Dolphin class ship. It runs so cool you can literally charge your FSD while any other ship would be burning up. Makes travelling a breeze. Second, since you were forced to drop out into normal space you couldn't use the regular jump button because the target system was obscured. If you check your hotkeys, there's one for when you want to engage the FSD without a target; you might need to set it. It would've let you escape the star and go around until you could jump to the next system. Third, your map is probably defaulting to the most fuel-efficient route, but your ship also doesn't have much jump range, so idk. There's a toggle setting in the map view to be fuel efficient or not; 20 jumps is a lot of time. Not relevant now, but when you get a fuel scoop for your ship, you can get fuel from certain stars. You can set a filter in the map so it only goes to certain star types. You want: k, g, b, f, o, a, m. Other types can't be scooped. Stay safe out there, Commander. o7
