Shadow you can fire 2 SCB's and a heat sink and not take any damage Fire your 1st SCB, then when your ship gets to about 70% heat then fire your heat sink......then when your heat drops to about 0% fire your 2nd SCB You will not take any heat damage 😉👍

Definitely use bi-weave. I do on my Anaconda and it only has 700ish MJ (2 boosters) but the resistances are sky high. This allows you to use less shield cells or make as many as you have last longer. Saves power. Saves heat. Especially if you run efficient weapons & low emissions power plant (which you can do on a low MJ setting). My hull resistance are also buffed to enormous resistance and use 2 module reinforcements with 1 hull reinforcement. The biggest thing you can do to any shield is thermal resistance. Shields natively have a really low thermal resist like -40. So getting it up to +40 is doubling strength against lasers. So 700mj with +56% thermal is like having 2200mj shields against lasers. Not real good at math but that should be close. Then just add kinetic resistance and you'll be as good against rails. 2 point defence with high capacity magazines on front-top-left and back-bottom-right should cover anything NPC's throw at you. But that's what my 2nd booster does is explosive. So shields thermal, booster kinetic, booster explosive. Sorry this was long and 5 months late but that's how I roll (pun intended) in PvE

on my conda when i'm doing RES runs, I use a class 7 bi-weave with resistace augmented boosters. I only have around 1000 shields but with over 60% resistances to all damage types i can take around 2500 sustained damage of any weapon type before they go down. When they do go down it takes 61 seconds for them to come back online from the moment they drop. So yea I don't bother with SCB and go with hull reinforcement instead.

It's about what I expected. There comes a point with engineering where a few NPC ships in a RES really don't matter. And it just becomes "This build what I done." Rather than more or less effective at what you want it for. Turrets do less damage, but they also have less jitter, so it's more whichever you prefer. You could probably have fitted any other combination of weaponry on that ship and killed stuff in a similar amount of time. Would be interesting to see it in a conflict zone. That would be more of a test. As for the shields... again, about what I expected. They go down, use SCBs to get them back up. Again, would be interesting to see in a conflict zone rather than a RES. Bounty hunting is pretty faceroll with any sort of engineered loadout. One or two on one combat isn't really a good test of how your ship holds up. 3000Mj of shields against any single target... well, you aren't really in danger of heading for the rebuy screen. Seemed okay if you prefer active tanking. But you might want to hold off until the beta before testing further shield setups, since there may well be changes coming.

Test out the shields, please. Personally I think bi-wave rocks the NPC battles, you may stay in combat zones for ages without shield cells. Prismatics and A are for a single battle: you fight, use cells and go back to station.

Sounds pretty decent, but it might be hard to hit things with the plasma accelerators in an anaconda. Idk though, might work out fine.

Fighters always launch straight forward of where the hanger opens up, if your ship makes a tight turn as the fighter is launching chances are that the fighter will hit your ship.

You became shiny because of the light coming from the heat sink. Also, I have an Anna too and I fire 2SCB's with a HS all at the same time and it never overheats. I fire 2 class 6 with one heat sink...I get a slight overheat if I fire the 2 class 6 with a class 4 or 5 with one sink.

I use bi weave on mine, I have 2,000 shield strength. with all shield boosters besides two heat sinks. I never have my shield drop, even when I fight a wing of 3.

Shields: Thermal Resistance of a 7A/C shield is -20% (while Kinetic Resistance is 50%). Lot of NPC use thermal weapons, so the bigger ThR value is the better. It's ok to sacrifice 15% KiR and gain 30+% ThR. The 3rd shield booster is less effective, than the first 2, the 4th is even worse. Use thermal resistant shields and a booster, and ThR will be much better (~ 30-40%) while KiR will be a slight worse. Thermal resistant shield also does not affect the regenation rate, while heavy duty modification does by -20-30%. Weapons: Also side mounted class 2, and bottom/tail mounted class1 weapons work better with turrets or fixed wapons. While it takes a while to track, they make up by shooting longer, when the faster opponent outtturns the Anaconda. When 2.3 arrives, a setup like that will be good witha human gunner as well.

Just a couple of things. Kinetic resistance as standard is only 30%, not 50%. Explosive is 50%. Reinforced shields can give you 18% thermal resistance with a good roll, as well as 7-9% extra kinetic and explosive resistance. I used to use thermal resistant shields all the time, but with the 2.2.03 buffs to fixed weaponry, which a LOT of npc ships use, they just don't hold up as well as they did. NPC's fire everything at you. Not just thermal weapons. Frag cannons, multicannons, railguns (which are partially kinetic), so you can't just sacrifice kinetic resistance for thermal. You can achieve a similar level of resistances by using reinforced and adding a couple of pure thermal resistance boosters. I have 40% thermal resistance, 50% kinetic resistance and 60% explosive resistance on my 'Conda with that setup, without needing to run a thermal mod on my shields. The advantage to reinforced is that it gives you more base shields, which affects how many shields each heavy duty booster will give you. So you don't need as many, and changes which possibly add DR in the future won't hit as hard. The max hit to active regen with a grade 5 reinforced mod is only 15%, not 30%. And a good roll can reduce it by only 1%. So on a 7C Bi-weave with 4.4/sec as standard, the most you're going to lose is 0.7/sec (rounded down). Which still gives you 3.7/sec active regen. Which is still over double the pre 2.2.03 bi-weaves.

hey I have a combat anaconda with a 7A shield generator and 4 A boosters. my shields are only a little over 1200 with some engineering on the shield. so yes I'd like to see a video on getting your shields up higher

no be-weave on the anaconda i have some ships with be-weave shields but for me on my anaconda i dont whant this. you can deactiveate some shield bosters then your shield ist faster back at 50% then enable the shield bosters again.

For Combat zones (massacre missions), which shield would be better, Prismatic or bi-wave? I was wondering about it since yours, apparently, doesn't hold up too much damage from many ships at same time!

The problem is, once you fully engineer your ship there is no challenge. There needs to be more dangerous zones to go to.

I got pleanty of challenge in PvE, when in a CZ (suddenly) 4 NPCs spawn and target me. With my Anaconda I can't run away from Vipers and Federal Assault ships. I only dare to go there in my FDL. I have to retreat a lot, when that happens. Of course using a Anaconda in HazRez (especiall in Wings) is like a harvest. But wings of Anacondas can be a challenge, does not happen all day. Of course if you mastered the tactics, it's not as much of a challenge anymore.

Even with an engineered ship you can always fly better. Also try wings of 3 Elite assault ships or some other crazy combo. Especially in 2.3 when shields get hit with the nerf hammer.

im sorry for the basic question, in regard to change the pips from ENG to WEP when u need more mobility, is there any shortcut to go full pip on weapon and change to full pips on ENG with just one press of a button? i always have to press like 3 or 4 keys presses. thx in advance
