My concern is for your power plant. It is weakness of the aspX. It should have been addressed in this build IMO

how the reinforcement works is that the moduals only take 40 percent of the damage while your package takes 60 percent till it is destroyed.

Class D redirects 60% of the damage onto itself. Class E redirects 40% onto itself. That doesn't necessarily mean class D is better though as Class E has more integrity. 1 of each would probably be best.

I forgot who it was (I know mini did one in beta but I think there was a live build one as well), they tested both the D and the E and found the D was far superior to protecting modules. A powerplant received approx 50% damage by the time the D rated MRP was destroyed, while with an E rated MRP the powerplant was at 0 and the MRP still had something like 60% integrity left, making it one of the most useless items around regarding protection. MRP's are mainly for PvP anyway. NPC's don't target modules. NPC's might hit modules occasionally, but they don't target them. Hull reinforcements with good resistances maybe a better option. :)

The problem with Asp Explorer is that in general it's hull is quite weak, and its hardpoint combinations just dont work well enough compared to other combat ships of its size.

Seems like a great build to me. Obviously already a fun ship but you've made it into something else entirely. Nice work and thanks for the video. Appreciate the information... now I know to do specialized instead of rapid charge.

don't get me wrong, I wouldn't do any combat in it and it doesn't have enough jump to do that in either but I think I understand what he is trying to accomplish... basically something right in the middle with some sort of ability to do everything while enjoying some agility. I'm assuming he was trying to do something different and as far as that goes I think he did a good job. But no it doesn't do any one thing really well.. it just does everything decent right. Then again I'm still new to builds in this game sort of so.

joe parenti Putting missile launchers on a PvE ship makes me think he's aiming it more at something like the assassination missions. As missile launchers don't last long enough for PvE HazRes. And yes like he said you could use synthesis but thats gonna use materials that you will then need to fill up which would require time where you aren't PvEing.
